Former FoxNews.com Science & Technology Editor and PC Magazine Executive Editor Brings 18 Years’ Experience to Editorial Team

PORTLAND, ORE. – APRIL 8, 2014 – Today, Digital Trends, a leading consumer technology publisher, announces that consumer technology expert Jeremy Kaplan has joined as Editor-in-Chief, effective March 31. Based out of the company’s New York office, Kaplan will steer the direction of all of Digital Trends’ editorial content. Managing Editor Nick Mokey will continue day-to-day management of Digital Trends’ editorial staff of 40 full-time editors and freelance contributors.

Kaplan was most recently with FoxNews.com, where he led coverage of gadgets, computers, the online world, space travel, the environment, and more. Prior to joining Fox, Kaplan was executive editor of PC Magazine, co-host of the Fastest Geek competition, and a founding editor of the award-winning GoodCleanTech blog.

“Digital Trends’ growth is explosive and Jeremy has the expertise and passion we need to lead our editorial team through its current and future expansion,” said Ian Bell, Chief Executive Officer and Publisher at Digital Trends. “Jeremy’s leadership at FoxNews.com and Ziff Davis are extremely valuable to us.
