Look, a Kat! ‘Gravity Rush 2’ arrives on PS4 this December

Gravity Rush 2, the follow-up to one of the best PlayStation Vita games (since remastered on PlayStation 4), will be arriving this year. But there’s no “rush” — we’ll have to

wait until December to see if physics-bending hero Kat’s latest adventure lives up to its predecessor.

Gravity Rush 2 marks the return of gravity shits Kat and Raven,” says PlayStation associate product marketing manager Brian Dunn. “The first new face to join the expansive world of Gravity Rush 2 is the mysterious guardian angel, who shows up to help Kat when she’s in a bind, quickly dispensing of a group of pesky Nevi enemies.”

The mysterious, slightly rockabilly and gothic setting of the original game was perhaps its largest draw, and it appears that Sony is going all-in on the game’s universe for the sequel. In addition to the game, an anime titled Gravity Rush The Animation ~ Overture ~ (no, we don’t know why they write it that way) will bridge the gap between the first game and its sequel. Even if you played the original on Vita, you might need the refresher: It will be nearly five years by the time Gravity Rush 2 releases.

A trailer, “New Heights,” was also released alongside this news. Shots of Kat’s world tearing in two, as well as the vicious Nevi crawling on the ground, look like they borrow inspiration from the Devil May Cry series, but Kat’s gravity-manipulating attacks are all her own.

Gravity Rush 2 really seems to have benefited from the extra horsepower on the PlayStation 4. Textures and lighting effects now match, instead of hinder, the game’s gorgeous art style, and it all looks incredibly fluid and smooth.

Gravity Rush 2 launches exclusively to PlayStation 4 on December 2. Pre-orders will get you an alternate costume, as well as a nine-song soundtrack. If you want to pre-order digitally, you’ll get 10 bonus PSN avatars instead.

It's finally here: 1999's Dino Crisis is coming to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers for free on October 15.

This underrated Capcom classic helmed by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami involves some sort of ... dinosaur crisis. It's a survival horror action game (with guns for shooting dinosaurs and puzzles) that'll feel familiar for retro Resident Evil fans. You will have to get the most expensive PS Plus tier to play it since it'll be in the Classics catalog, but it's a bit of a remaster, with up-rendering, custom video filters, rewind, and quick save.

All cross-platform games (PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC)
Two squads of heroes clash in an Overwatch 2 trailer.

Cross-platform support is becoming more important in the world of video games. Multiplayer hits like Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and Fortnite have pushed crossplay into the limelight, and now most AAA multiplayer games release with at least partial cross-platform support. Finding every cross-platform game is no easy feat, though, so we did the hard work to bring you a comprehensive list of games that support crossplay.

Unfortunately, there aren't any rules when it comes to crossplay, so each game handles the feature a little differently. To make matters more confusing, certain backward-compatible games on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X still support crossplay on the most recent hardware, even if there isn't an official release for that hardware.
