There’s lots of raunchy business in first trailer for ‘Office Christmas Party’

Typical office holiday parties aren’t exactly the stuff that makes for good Hollywood fare, but Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks are mining that annual tradition for their latest big-screen comedy, the aptly titled Office Christmas Party.

The studios released the first trailer for the film this week, and it features just the sort of raunchy shenanigans one would expect from a film about a booze-fueled company party that goes horribly wrong — or right, depending on how you look at it.

Blades of Glory filmmakers Josh Gordon and Will Speck directed Office Christmas Party, which reunites the pair with Jason Bateman and Jennifer Aniston, who starred in the directing duo’s 2010 comedy The Switch.

The film follows an unpredictable exec played by T.J. Miller (Deadpool, Silicon Valley) and his chief technical officer, played by Bateman, who set out to save their company by throwing the greatest holiday party of all time in order to impress a client and win the contract that will keep them — and their staff — employed. Aniston plays the CEO of the company, who forces Miller and Bateman’s characters to close the deal or have their branch shut down.

The script for Office Christmas Party was penned by Bad Teacher writers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, along with Hot in Cleveland writer Laura Solon.

The film also stars Ghostbusters actress Kate McKinnon and X-Men: Apocalypse actress Olivia Munn, as well as Vanessa Bayer, Jillian Bell, Jamie Chung, Rob Corddry, Abbey Lee, Karan Soni, Courtney B. Vance, and Matt Walsh.

Office Christmas Party hits theaters December 9 — just in time for the holiday season.

Simon Pegg says The Final Reckoning is the best Mission: Impossible movie yet
Tom Cruise stares with a concerned look on his face.

In addition to being one of the longest-running franchises, Mission: Impossible has also managed to retain an impressive level of quality. The teaser for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning suggests that the next installment will keep that trend alive, and now, star Simon Pegg has said that the next chapter may even be the best in the entire franchise.

On Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum, Pegg said that he had just finished shooting and was ready to hype the film up. "I have just finished shooting. I have one day left of pickups to do," he explained. "I've seen it. It's bananas. It's absolutely bananas. What he does in this one, it boggles the mind. I think this one is the best one ever. And I'm not just saying that because it's like, 'Oh, you've got to say that.' It is going to be great."
