Can you still unlock the Galaxy skin in Fortnite?

Fortnite is an ever-evolving game, featuring events and access to limited-time content. In 2018, Samsung announced a special partnership with Epic Games for the Android version of the game in accordance with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. People who preordered the new smartphone between August 10 and August 23, 2018, were given a special offer: A choice between a pair of AKG noise-canceling headphones or 15,000 V-bucks and an exclusive Galaxy Fortnite skin.

While that offer is no longer available, many are still wondering if you can unlock one of the best skins in battle royale.

Can you still unlock the Galaxy skin?

Unfortunately, the short answer is no, you are no longer able to unlock the Galaxy skin for Fortnite. The offer is no longer available. Afterward, Samsung did offer two additional skin promotions in its place, but those have expired as well. Some players have claimed that you’re still able to gain access to the skin if you file a report with Epic Games, but using that method seems to be hit or miss.

Given that Epic Games and Samsung have a strong connection, it’s possible Fortnite players will gain access to more variations of the Galaxy skin in the future. However, there aren’t any promotions like this in the works, at least publicly.

How the Fortnite Galaxy skin was unlocked

To give you a heads up about what to expect in the future, here is how the Galaxy skin was originally unlocked when it was available. First, players had to own or buy a Galaxy Note 9 or Galaxy Tab S4. These were the only Samsung products eligible for the offer, but preordering them was not required. It’s important to note that Samsung limited the offer to one skin per mobile device, which means if a friend already redeemed the skin on their eligible phone or tablet, it couldn’t be done again on that device.

Players needed to download Fortnite on their eligible devices using Galaxy Apps in the Samsung folder. They could locate its banner under the store’s Games tab, tap the banner, and hit Install and Open. They would then agree to the game’s terms and conditions to complete the installation. Players also needed to have an Epic Games account to sign in and register the skin.

After starting this Fortnite game, participants were required to play three games of Fortnite on their respective devices. After every single game, the system would log every time a player remembered to return to the lobby. The system would note this, regardless of whether a person won or lost their challenge.

Usually, 24 to 48 hours after a player knocked out the required tasks, like revisiting the lobby, the game would give eligible players a special gift box containing the Fortnite Galaxy skin. You can bet that if Samsung and Epic Games were to feature any other exclusive skin offers on Fortnite, a similar process would be put in place for players to win the prize.

As of right now, Fortnite is booming in the middle of its fourth season. This time around, game makers have connected with Marvel and collaborated to create items based on beloved and infamous characters from the Marvel universe. One of the character prizes you can earn is the Wolverine skin. To win it, you have to tackle the character’s weekly challenges, similar to the 2020 Deadpool challenges.

This trick guarantees you’ll get bots only in every Fortnite match

Fortnite is one of the biggest names in gaming, and it's quite easy to understand how it became a global phenomenon. The beloved battle royale is overflowing with things to do, and weekly updates ensure that there are always new weapons and items to engage with, fresh locales to visit on its ever-changing map, and plenty of XP to earn via daily and weekly challenges.

With so much to keep players coming back for more, you can be certain finding a lobby filled with other folks is an easy thing to do. But you've also probably noticed that many matches -- particularly in lower and mid-tier lobbies -- mix bots in with real players. This helps to fill out lobbies faster so you can get in and play consistently, and it also serves as a way to ensure that everyone in the match has a few opportunities to eliminate some baddies regardless of their skill level.

Fortnite Reality Augments: full list and how to use them
Fortnite Zero Builds key art.

Every new chapter of Fortnite is a massive event. While seasonal changes bring plenty of minor tweaks and additions, it's almost always when a new chapter rolls around that major overhauls or new mechanics are introduced. Fortnite Chapter 4 was no exception, and aside from the extreme changes the island underwent, it brought one very important change to gameplay that makes a huge difference when going for that elusive victory royal (it isn't easy to win Fortnite, after all).

Augments, well, augment the game. There are a few challenges that somewhat introduce what these are, but they leave out almost all the important details for you to find out on your own. Augments need to be considered, and deeply understood, not only for when you get them yourself but to know what new tricks your opponents could have up their sleeves. Before you get taken by surprise, here's a complete breakdown of how to unlock augments and how they work in Fortnite.
What are augments in Fortnite?
Augments, or Reality Augments, are a new perk system introduced into Fortnite. There are currently 20 augments in the game, but there are 32 total that cycle in and out with each Season. You can get access to multiple augments during a single match, but augments do not carry over after a match is finished, whether you win or lose. These perks can range from modifying certain weapon types to granting buffs for performing actions, and much more. There are no bad augments, so you will want to get as many as possible. Augments also have their own tab in your menu where you can see which ones you've had so far to track your progress using them all.
