Everything leaving Hulu in December 2024

best movies leaving hulu the creator movie hero
20th Century Studios

Hulu subscribers should consider themselves very fortunate for the last few months when the streamer barely lost any titles at all. That’s rare for any streaming service, much less with a robust lineup like Hulu’s. Unfortunately, the impending end of 2024 changes the status quo once again, with several titles leaving Hulu by December 31.

The original Alien and two of its sequels are among the movies leaving Hulu in December. Other popular titles to watch are The Creator, The Hummingbird Project, Tombstone, 28 Weeks Later, Juno, and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

To help you make your viewing plans for the month, we’re sharing our guide to everything leaving Hulu in December. Our picks for the month are in bold.

Be sure to check out our guides for the best shows and movies on Hulu. If you don’t subscribe to Hulu, then read up on the best new shows to stream, the best new movies to stream, the best shows on Netflix, and the best shows on Amazon Prime Video.

This is also a great time to consider the Disney Bundle, which gets you Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ for just $15 per month. That’s basically like getting all three services, but only paying for two of them, and it’s pretty tough to beat. It’s also a great way to make sure you don’t miss anything on any of these services.

After directing Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, director Gareth Edwards took a long hiatus before returning to cinema with The Creator. Four decades from now, most of the world is in an existential fight against AI, while New Asia has embraced AI as the future. In this world war, Joshua Taylor (John David Washington) was undercover in New Asia and married to Maya Fey (Gemma Chan) before an attack claimed her life and nearly his as well.

Joshua is drawn out of retirement when he learns that the creator of AI, Nirmata, has put together the ultimate weapon that can control all technology. Much to Joshua’s surprise, the weapon is a childlike simulant called Alpha-O (Madeleine Yuna Voyle). And this AI may be too human for him to kill.

Two women stand in a club in Hustlers.

For the last couple of months, there have been so few movies leaving Hulu that we've had to borrow departing films from the next month to fill out this list. And since only three movies are leaving Hulu on November 30, we had to do it again this month.

Hustlers and Three Identical Strangers are both exiting Hulu at the end of November. Our remaining picks for the five movies leaving Hulu will be sticking around for the early days of December. But if the list of titles leaving Hulu in December is any indication, then we won't have to borrow any titles from January's departures.
