Urban cycling brand Outlier is now offering two new selections from the company’s line for the spring 2011 season. The brand focuses on bringing simple and fashionable clothes to urban cyclists who want both high-performance pieces and good looks in clean basic colors. We wrote about Outlier’s surprisingly water-resistant button-down shirt before, and both new products are made from similar practical fabrics that are made to withstand the city elements.
The Pivotal Bomber Jacket ($290, above) is a versatile three-season jacket built for going about your day in spring showers, on cool summer nights, and during brisk fall days. The bomber features a classic design, the company’s patent-pending pivot sleeve construction, a gadget-friendly arm pocket and soft merino wool on the cuffs and collar. The jacket is made of Outlier’s 4Season fabric, which is versatile, breathable, water-repellent, and dries quickly. Four-way stretch makes it even more comfortable in active situations, and the odor-resistant merino wool wicks sweat away as you exercise.
Next, Outlier branches into the shoe market in collaboration with Feit to create the Outlier Feit Supermarine Sneakers ($260), which look sort of like an ordinary tennis shoe, but function at a much higher level. Handmade by Feit shoemakers, this sneaker is made from high-quality materials and is both breathable and highly water-resistant. The Supermarine Cotton used on the upper is made of only the longest staple Egyptian cotton, which allows for its resistance to water and simultaneous breathability. Goodyear welt construction, a 3M reflective heel cap, and waxed cotton laces complete the design. The shoe is available in both flat black and olive (above).
