L.A. Noire redefines awesome trailers with these new awesome trailers

Odds are, if you know much about Rockstar’s upcoming L.A. Noire, then it is already on your list of must have games. If not, why not? Don’t you like games that push the envelope? Don’t you enjoy compelling plots and almost life-like character models? Was Rockstar’s last game, the award winning Red Dead Redemption, not good enough for you?!?

Anyway, for those that aren’t familiar, L.A. Noire is an open world game set in 1947 Los Angeles, and as the title suggests, it draws heavily from the noir style that defined detective films of the era. The game has already garnered a huge amount of attention for its look and story, so much so that it is the first video game ever to be shown at the Tribeca Film Festival.

The game is a murder mystery, which puts you in 1947 LA hunting down a killer. The setting will reflect the time period, and besides the inherent story elements like police and political corruption—a staple of any good noir property—the game features a jazz soundtrack and dialog suited for that period.

So, say you are sold, and you are about to pre-order the game. Before you do, you may want to watch the following trailers. Gamers that purchase their titles through GameStop, Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy and directly from Rockstar will all receive a pre-order bonus bonus. GameStop and Walmart will both offer an additional case to solve, which will be delivered via DLC, Amazon and Best Buy will both offer an exclusive suit and pistol for your character, and Rockstar will ship you a t-shirt.

Although it hasn’t been announced, it is likely that all the pre-order bonuses will also be available for purchase eventually, if not on launch day.

As for the expansions, the first, titled “The Naked City”, is available as an exclusive through GameStop. The second is available through Walmart, and is titled “A Slip of the Tongue”.

Check out the trailer below, and look for L.A. Noire on Xbox 360 and PS3 on May 17.

How to play Strands
You start every Strands puzzle with the goal of finding the "theme words" hidden in the grid of letters. Manipulate letters by dragging or tapping to craft words; double-tap the final letter to confirm. If you find the correct word, the letters will be highlighted blue and will no longer be selectable.
