The Aorus RTX 4090 Master is the biggest GPU we’ve ever seen

Gigabyte’s Aorus RTX 4090 Master is the biggest GPU we’ve ever seen. We don’t yet know the full specs of this GeForce RTX 4090 model, but we do know we’re going to need a very large case to house this beast.

This is a monster unit. It needs four slots all to itself on a motherboard. It comes with three 11 cm fans. It is 35.8 cm (14.1 inches) long and 16.2 cm (6.4 inches) wide, meaning we could literally stack several smaller RTX cards inside of it and still have some room to spare. Videocardz.com did the math and determined they could fit 10 Radeon RX 6400 cards inside.

This huge GPU should be enough to house the GeForce RTX 4090, which Nvidia announced on September 20. These are the newest graphics cards featuring Ada Lovelace architecture, offer better ray tracing, significantly improved rendering, and DLSS 3. It comes with up to 24GB of GDDR6X memory.

Nvidia is promising 2.5GHz of clock speed on the 4090 while gulping 450W of power. The RTX 4090 doesn’t come out until October 12, so we’ll need to wait to put it through real-world use, but we can expect impressive performance thanks to double the number of CUDA cores.

But we are drooling at the thought of one of those high-end maxed out RTX 4090s inside this enormous Aorus Master unit. The power draw must be impressive and we’re not looking forward to the electric bill (nor the incredibly high prices), but maybe here is something that will finally catapult gaming into the next era. After all, this is still a GPU waiting for a game worthy of its power.

Nvidia’s RTX 40-series is coming to an end

Out with the old, in with the new. According to Board Channels, Nvidia has now halted production for nearly all of its best graphics cards as it shifts focus to the RTX 50-series. Only one GPU remains in production, and some of the cards that are the most in demand are no longer being produced.

Nvidia hasn't officially announced that it's sunsetting the RTX 40-series, but we've been hearing more and more reports that imply that might be the case. The RTX 4090 was among the first cards to go out of production, and the discontinuation appears to have immediately affected the markets. Nvidia's behemoth flagship was hard to come by at the best of times, and now, as no more new units are being produced, it's safe to assume that this situation won't improve. The cheapest RTX 4090 I could find on Amazon costs nearly $2,000, but you can still snag one for .

As we're all counting down the days to a possible announcement of Nvidia's RTX 50-series, GPU brands are already looking ahead to what comes next. A new trademark filing with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) reveals just how far ahead some manufacturers are thinking, because it mentions not just the Nvidia RTX 5090, but also an RTX 5090 Ti; there's even an RTX 6090 Ti. Still, it'll be a long while before we can count the RTX 60-series among the best graphics cards, so what is this all about?

The trademark registration filing, first spotted by harukaze5719 on X (formerly Twitter) and shared by VideoCardz, comes from a company called Sinotex International Industrial Ltd. This company is responsible for the GPU brand Ninja, which doesn't have much of a market presence in the U.S.

As we inch closer to the expected release date of Nvidia's RTX 50-series, the number of leaks is growing by the minute. Today, a reputable leaker weighed in on when we might see the RTX 50-series join the ranks of the best graphics cards. Could Blackwell make an appearance sooner than currently expected? It's certainly possible, but who even knows at this point?

The information comes from kopite7kimi, who, in typical tipster fashion, dropped a vague message on X (formerly Twitter) and then left without answering any questions. However, at this point in the GPU release cycle, even one vague sentence is enough to send the internet for a spin, which is what's happening in the reply section of Kopite's tweet.
