Destiny awaits on Mars in For All Mankind season 4 teaser

With the release of new seasons of Invasion and Foundation, as well as the premiere of Silo, 2023 has already been a banner year for sci-fi on Apple TV+. And later this fall, one of the very first original series on Apple TV+, For All Mankind, will return for its fourth season. Unlike the other science fiction shows on Apple TV+, For All Mankind has no ray guns, aliens, or any real fantastical elements. Instead, it’s a very grounded story about an alternate timeline where the space race never ended. As you can see in the first teaser trailer for season 4, this corner of the multiverse is very different from our own.

For All Mankind — Helios Recruitment | Season 4 | Apple TV+

This teaser is an in-universe recruitment video for Helios Aerospace, the private company that beat both the U.S. and the Soviet Union to Mars. Happy Valley is the name of the Martian colony, and it’s also undergone some significant changes in the time jump to season 4. By 2003, “the focus of the space program has turned to the capture and mining of extremely valuable, mineral-rich asteroids that could change the future of both Earth and Mars. But simmering tensions between the residents of the now-sprawling international base threaten to undo everything they are working toward.”

Andor season 2 is coming sooner than a lot of Star Wars fans thought
Cassian stands by a hillside in Andor season 1.

It looks like Lucasfilm may have accidentally revealed the long-awaited premiere date for Andor season 2, and on the Disney+ mobile app, no less. Early Saturday morning, some eagle-eyed users noticed a new date attached to the bottom of the app's Andor streaming tile. The date in question promises that Andor season 2 is coming April 22, 2025.

It isn't just possible but likely that this Disney+ update was made earlier than Lucasfilm planned. Not only was it added to the streaming service's mobile app with no accompanying announcement or comment from Lucasfilm, but Disney is also in the midst of hosting its D23 Brazil convention this weekend. The event has already given fans their first look at Diego Luna's Cassian Andor in Andor season 2, and it's possible that the show's return date was being saved for D23 Brazil as well.

Agatha All Along creator wrote multiple post-credits scenes for the Marvel series that weren’t used
Kathryn Hahn stands next to Joe Locke in Agatha All Along.

Agatha All Along is one of the most widely liked titles that Marvel Studios has released in, well, a while. The WandaVision spinoff premiered in late September and did a lot to win over even some of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's more skeptical fans across its nine episodes. While Agatha All Along does set up some exciting future possibilities for several of its characters, though, its finale doesn't include a single post-credits scene.

According to Agatha All Along creator Jac Schaeffer, that isn't because she didn't have any ideas for one. When asked about the series' lack of a post-credits tag, Schaeffer told Variety, "That’s a Marvel decision. I know nothing more than that." The writer and showrunner went on to reveal that she actually wrote multiple potential post-credits scenes for Agatha All Along, none of which were ultimately used because of behind-the-scenes decision-making by Marvel.

What’s new on Apple TV+ this month (December 2024)
Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum in Fly Me to the Moon.

Each month, the list of new programs on Apple TV+ tends to be pretty lean. The streamer has a unique model, which is powered by original content. Apple TV+ has set a very high bar since announcing its bold strategy, with a host of TV shows and movies headlined by A-list talent and an outstanding awards pedigree.

There's one more month to wait for the return of Emmy-winning drama Severance, and this December is a very quiet one on Apple TV+. Nonetheless, you can still look forward to a ten-part nature series made in collaboration with the BBC Studios Nature Unit and Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum in Fly Me to the Moon.
