How to solve Sarentu Totems in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

Many mysteries await you to uncover in the new region of Pandora your character wakens in in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Unlike a traditional open-world game, especially a Ubisoft-developed one, this title doesn’t hold your hand nearly as much when solving any of its environmental puzzles. The Sarentu Totems are optional locations you can seek out across the frontier, but finding one is just the beginning. Once you do, you need to find a very specific place to view it from in order to unlock the secrets it holds. With so few clues, you’ll need a bit of guidance to learn the tricks to solve these totems.

How to solve Sarentu Totems

When you encounter a Sarentu Totem, you will find a large, spiral-shaped object usually on a cliffside or overlook of some sort. Your only objective when you approach one is to find the correct spot to stand at and view it from by following “markers.” These markers aren’t going to show up on your HUD or even be highlighted with your special Na’vi vision.

You need to look at the little triangular bit of fabric sticking out of the side of the totem. This is an arrow pointing to another identical arrow somewhere on the ground in that direction. You must follow all these arrows, which may not even be in sight from one to another until you get to the designated spot. You will know you have arrived when you get a button prompt to observe the totem and complete the puzzle.

It won't be long into Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl that you encounter your first weapon jam. Whether you're fighting mutant dogs or enemy bandits, the last thing you want to hear when lining up a shot is the clicking of your weapon despite still having plenty of ammo. The more you use your weapons, the lower their durability becomes and the more likely you are to experience a jam. You don't have the skills to repair or upgrade your weapons yourself, and Stalker 2 is more than willing to let you miss out on finding the places to do it. You can see how beaten down your weapon is in the inventory by highlighting it or based on the color of the broken shield icon. If that icon appears at all, you can expect jams to start popping up.

Stalker 2 is an open-world game with a lot of immersive sim elements, side quests, and secrets. There's also the fact that it is very, very punishing and meant to be played at a slow and methodical pace. For that reason, even trying to mainline the story missions will still take around 40 hours, but could even be more depending on how skilled you are.

Every decision you make in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl has weight to it, including what you fill your backpack with. Not only are you limited based on how big your inventory is but every item you put in it has an associated weight that adds to your total. Try to carry too much and you will become encumbered and have a difficult time moving. The last thing you want is to find a valuable stash with a great new gun or piece of gear and not be able to carry it all back to a town. There are no skill trees or levels in Stalker 2, so you might think that the weight limit you start with is what you're stuck with for the whole game, but we can show you how to increase your carrying capacity. How to increase carrying capacity

There are a few ways to upgrade your carrying capacity, and both revolve around upgrading your body armor. At any upgrade vendor, select your armor from the list of upgrades and select the top upgrade slot. Here, you can find the Swen-on Pockets upgrade at the end of the upgrade list. This will increase your capacity by 10%, which isn't much, but the most we've found you can get. Unlocking this upgrade will require you to first get the previous upgrades, so start investing in this tree early.
