The trajectory of at least one franchise will change on Sunday at the 2024 NBA Draft Lottery. The lottery determines the first 14 picks in the 2024 NBA Draft. Last year, the San Antonio Spurs won the draft lottery and used the No. 1 pick on French phenom Victor Wembanyama. There are no generational players like Wembanyama in this year’s draft. However, securing the No. 1 selection is still a priority for every team in the lottery.

The 14 teams that missed the 2024 NBA playoffs participate in the draft lottery. Each team is assigned oddsfor winning the No. 1 pick. The two teams with the best odds for the No. 1 pick are the Detroit Pistons (14%) and Washington Wizards (14%). The Charlotte Hornets (13.3%), Portland Trail Blazers (13.2%), and San Antonio Spurs (10.5%) round out the top five.

3 action movies on Hulu you need to watch in November 2024
The title character of The Predator relishes the hunt.

Hulu brings the action like few other streaming services can. That's because it can draw upon the vast cinematic library of 20th Century Studios, while also bringing in R-rated action flicks from other studios that Disney+ wouldn't touch. Each month, Hulu adds a number of new or returning titles that bolster its action lineup. These are the three action movies that you need to watch in November.

Our choices include an underrated video game adaptation, one of our favorite Nicolas Cage movies, and a sequel to one of 20th Century Studios' most famous franchises.

The 50 best movies on Netflix right now (November 2024)
Will Smith and Margot Robbie in Focus.

As we've often seen before, unexpected films from the past suddenly rise to the top of the list of the most popular movies on Netflix. This week, the movie in question is Focus, a 2015 crime dramedy starring Will Smith and Margot Robbie. Although Focus didn't clean up at the box office, when two of the biggest stars appear together in the same movie, it tends to get noticed on Netflix.

The first six Fast and Furious films have also arrived on Netflix, which should make action lovers very happy. For this week, we're putting the spotlight on Fast Five because it's one of the best in the series, and it also featured the first face-off between Vin Diesel and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Netflix is also currently having a lot of success with the action rom-com The Lost City, as well as other recent arrivals, including Oblivion and Kung Fu Panda 4. You can find those films and more in our complete roundup of the best movies on Netflix right now.

The best movies on Amazon Prime Video (November 2024)
Ivana Baquero in Pan's Labyrinth.

Freevee may be going away, but Amazon Prime Video has always had a deeper library of hit movies to draw upon than its "free" streaming service. Even in slow weeks like this one, Prime Video still has movies like Pan's Labyrinth and Galaxy Quest to fall back on. Those are two very different films, but both are fantastic examples of their respective fantasy and sci-fi/comedy genres.

Prime Video is pretty action-heavy this month, with Mark Wahlberg's Infinite inexplicably hanging on near the top of the movie charts alongside another Prime Video original, Canary Black. Romance lovers may find more to like in My Old Ass or Silver Linings Playbook. Regardless of your tastes, this list of the best movies on Amazon Prime Video right now has something waiting for you.
