When is Once Human coming to consoles?

A massive alien tower in the distance in Once Human.

Once Human is the newest breakout hit on the Steam charts. While it will take a few years to see if it can hold its place and be considered one of the best PC games out there, for now, players are loving what it has to offer.

Once Human drops players into a massive open world overrun by alien-infected monsters. As is the case with the best survival games, you can build up your base, team up with friends (or fight against them), and craft new and better equipment to take down the biggest and baddest bosses. Plenty of games get their start on PC and eventually come to consoles to become cross-platform games, but some remain locked to PC forever. Is that the fate for Once Human, or will you be able to play it on consoles one day?

Will Once Human come to consoles

As of the time of this writing, there are no plans for when or if Once Human will come to consoles. The developers have addressed this issue on X (formerly Twitter): “Hi! We will carefully [decide] whether to release the game to console based on the testing and player feedback, which will take some time. If there is any update, it will post it to our social media, so stay tuned!

It appears that the team first wants to make sure the PC version is as stable and polished as possible before considering a console port, and even then only if enough players request it.

We will monitor the situation and update this article as new updates arrive. For the time being, the safe bet is to assume the only way to play Once Human is on PC.

After its studio criticized Microsoft, Enotria: The Last Song is coming to Xbox

Looks like Enotria: The Last Song will be coming to Xbox soon after all. After announcing an indefinite delay, the developers have announced they've gotten what they need to bring the game to Xbox "ASAP."

Jyamma Games took to the internet on Monday to announce it had delayed the Xbox version of its game indefinitely because of a lack of communication with Microsoft for two months. "This task is nearly impossible with Microsoft taking months to reply to us when we have the game ready for submission,” a post on the studio's X (formerly Twitter) account read. However, it iterated that it was still open to reversing that decision if it could get in touch with Xbox.

Is Baldur’s Gate 3 coming to Switch?
Minthara in Baldur's Gate 3.

Few games have rocked the industry in the way that Baldur's Gate 3 did at launch, and it has been a critical and commercial success on all platforms for which it has been released. As such, it's reasonable to wonder if Larian Studios has considered bringing the hit role-playing title to the Nintendo Switch. Let's take a look and see if any plans to that effect are in motion.
Is Baldur's Gate coming to Nintendo Switch?
Baldur's Gate 3 is not available on Nintendo Switch, and there is no indication that Larian Studios has any intentions of bringing it over at this time, if ever. It has already canceled the planned DLC for the game, citing a desire to move on to new projects beyond the Baldur's Gate franchise, likely leaving the series for another developer to pick up down the line.

Speaking to IGN, the game's director, Swen Vincke, said: "We’re going to shift around and we’re going to start doing these other things that we talked about, that we planned on doing before we started on BG3. Those were always the plans for afterward, we have two games that we want to make, and we have lots of concepts. So let’s just have closure on BG3. It’s been great. We’ve done our job. It’s a story with a beginning, a middle, and an end. So let’s pass the torch to another studio to pick up this incredible legacy."

When is Stardew Valley update 1.6 coming to consoles?
Unfortunately, we don't have an immediate answer regarding when Stardew Valley update 1.6 will land on consoles, though we do know it's on the way in the near future.

Developer Eric Barone, known as ConcernedApe, has kept the community updated on porting the game to consoles throughout 2024, but there hasn't been a lot of good news for fans. The most recent post on August 28 publically acknowledges that the ports are taking a long time and that he knows console players are upset.
