One Piece season 2 cast: Find out which actors are joining the live-action franchise

This past week, Netflix’s One Piece season 2 has received several exciting casting updates.

The latest addition to the live-action series is Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, a member of Baroque Works who hunts down the Straw Hats. Chandran is best known for her roles as Edwina Sharma in Bridgerton season 2 and Amelia Brown in How to Date Billy Walsh. Chandran joins previously announced new cast members Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, and Mark Harelik as Dr. Hiriluk.

The full list of season 2 additions includes Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Werner Coetser as Dorry, Brendan Murray as Brogy, Clive Russell as Crocus, Callum Kerr as Smoker, Julia Rehwald as Tashigi, Rob Colletti as Wapol, and Ty Keogh as Dalton.

One Piece is based on the beloved manga series by Eiichiro Oda. Netflix’s live-action series follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), a young adventurer who sets sail to find Gold Roger’s (Michael Dorman) missing treasure, the One Piece. If Monkey finds the legendary treasure, he will become “The King of the Pirates.” Monkey needs help achieving this dream, so he forms a crew known as the Straw Hats. Monkey’s gang includes Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji.

Developed for television by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda, One Piece season 1 premiered in August 2023. The show was an instant hit on its way to becoming Netflix’s most-watched TV show for the second half of 2023. All episodes in season 1 are streaming on Netflix.

One Piece is currently filming in Cape Town, South Africa. Season 2 is expected to arrive in 2025.

The Recruit season 2: Netflix reveals streaming date, first photos for spy show

Noah Centineo is ready for his next mission. Netflix announced that The Recruit season 2 will premiere on January 30, 2025.

The streamer released a series of first-look photos featuring CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks (Centineo) working on his next assignment in South Korea. The photos also highlight Teo Yoo (Past Lives) as Jang Kyun, a South Korean National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent; Nathan Fillion as Alton West, the director of the CIA; and Maddie Hasson as Nichka Lashin, the daughter of season 1's Max Meladze (Laura Haddock).

Player 456 returns to the deadly arena in the Squid Game season 2 trailer

Instead of taking his winnings from season 1 and moving on with his life, Seong Gi-hun, aka Player 456, willingly returns to the arena for another life-or-death showdown in the Squid Game season 2 trailer.

"I'm trying to put an end to this game," Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) says in the new footage. Three years after winning ₩45.6 billion in Squid Game, Gi-hun abandons his travel plans to the United States and reenters himself into the competition. Gi-hun wants to eliminate the deadly games and attempts to destroy the system from the inside. However, the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) will do everything to destroy Gi-hun and keep the game going.

Peacemaker season 2 wraps filming, James Gunn posts statement

Peacemaker season 2 is complete. Series creator and DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn announced that filming has wrapped on the superhero drama.
“And that is a WRAP on #Peacemaker season 2, including our last remaining actors Steve Agee, Tim Meadows, Sol Rodriguez & Brandon Stanley (& our DP Sam McCurdy pictured here moments after the last shot.),” Gunn wrote on X. "Thanks to our entire cast & crew who made this a wonderful experience. My relief to have a break from shooting after ten months straight is countered by how much I’ll miss all of you!”

A few days earlier, Gunn dedicated a social media post to Peacemaker stars John Cena and Jennifer Holland to announce the completion of their scenes. Gunn mentioned that he recently experienced "one of the most fun days of shooting" before thanking the people of Savannah for their hospitality.
