Even though OLED TVs have been around for a while, their pricing makes them very much a luxury purchase, but luckily, pricing has been coming down a lot recently. If you’re thinking of upgrading to one, then we’d very strongly recommend the Sony BRAVIA XR A95L, which we gave a perfect score of 10 out of 10. Even better, there is a considerable $500 discount from Walmart that brings the total price down to $2,899 from $3,400, and while that’s still quite pricey, it’s well worth it for one of the best TVs on the market when it comes to QD-OLED technology.

Why you should buy the Sony 65-inch BRAVIA XR A95L QD-OLED 4K TV

When our editor at large, Caleb Denison, got his hands on the Sony BRAVIA XR A95L, he said, “This TV is just next-level amazing. The A95L doesn’t just deliver the wow — it delivers the whoa.” That’s for a good reason too, since it manages to hit all the big checkmarks pretty well, such as an excellent picture quality that includes high color purity and saturation levels, as well as overall great brightness. It’s also great for gamers as it has a pretty low input gaming mode, as well as a base refresh rate of 120Hz.

That high refresh rate is also great for those who enjoy watching action-packed content like action films or sports, and while it doesn’t come with HLG HDR, you won’t miss it that much with this panel. You’ll also appreciate the surprisingly excellent audio quality, which isn’t something you’d expect with a TV, but the XR A95L knocks out of the park. The same goes for the 4K AI upscaling, which can always be a hit and a miss, but this TV does a surprisingly excellent job of upscaling older 1080p content, which is great for the kind of streaming most people do.

All in all, the Sony BRAVIA XR A95L is an incredibly versatile TV, with the largest issue being its high cost, something that’s somewhat mitigated with the $500 discount from Walmart.
