Dell knocks $450 off it’s Dell G16 gaming laptop with RTX 4070

Gaming laptops have come a long way from the past few years when they used to be massive and bulky, and if you’re looking for a great mid-range option, this configuration of the Dell G16 is worth checking out. The Dell G16 is actually an updated version of the older G15, which was a bit of a workhorse when it comes to budget-oriented gaming laptops. In this case, you get a great laptop with an RTX 40-series GPU from Dell directly for just $1,300, which is $450 off the usual $1,750 it goes for.

Why you should buy the Dell G16 Gaming Laptop

As the name might suggest, the Dell G16 comes with a 16-inch screen that runs a 2560 x 1600 resolution, with the ability to hit a whopping 240Hz refresh rate, which is perfect for those who enjoy playing competitive games. Under the hood you get yourself an RTX 4070 mobile, which is roughly equivalent to the performance of a desktop RTX 4060. Even so, it’s a solid card for gaming at 2K, although you will have to make some graphical compromises, especially if you’re aiming for higher refresh rates than 100 or so.

On the CPU side, you get one of the latest Intel processors in the form of the Intel Core i9-13900HX, and not only will it easily handle pretty much any game, but it can probably also let you stream to YouTube or Twitch if you’re interested in that. The RAM is pretty solid at 16GB, as is the 1TB storage, although with how big games are these days, you may want to supplement that with one of these external hard drive deals or SSD deals if you’re willing to open the laptop up.

All in all, this configuration of the Dell G16 is pretty excellent, and it makes sense that it’s such a popular laptop. With the deal from Dell that knocks it down to $1,300 from $1,750, this a must-grab if you’re looking for something between a budget and mid-range option. That said, if you’d like to check out a few more options, these gaming laptop deals are worth looking at.

Why you should buy Alienware's 32-inch 4K QD-OLED
Starting out with our personal experience with this monitor, our Alienware 32 QD-OLED review praises the monitor for its excellent color accuracy, saying that "It’s the most color accurate monitor out of the box we’ve ever tested." That means less fiddling with monitors and more playing games. You'll also find that the monitor's curve, which is a lesser-used 1700R, has a certain gentleness to it that isn't distracting and doesn't veer into the extremeness that some of the best curved monitors do. One thing that is notable about this review is how its score, 4.5/5.0 stars, aligns so greatly with real customer reviews that put it at 4.6/5.0 stars. While we can't ask those customers directly, we suspect that they might've also wanted speakers embedded in the monitor, too.

Snag Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 laptop with a $1,602 discount
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 front angled view showing display and keyboard.

While there are a lot of great business laptops on the market, one of the most iconic probably has to be Lenovo's ThinkPad lineup. Of course, they tend to be quite expensive, but luckily, this ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 has a substantial discount of $1,602 directly from Lenovo. That brings it down to $1,957 from its original $3,559, which is substantial, but it is also worth noting that Lenovo tends to overstate the estimated value of the ThinkPad X1 Carbons. That means that the real discount isn't really that high, although the price you end up with is still pretty solid for one of the best laptops on the market when it comes to business needs.

Why you should buy the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 comes with a 14-inch screen, which makes the overall package very small, and with the 2.48-pound weight, it's pretty easy to carry around with you if you travel a lot. The screen runs a solid 1920 x 1200 resolution, but can hit 400 nits of peak brightness, so you can use pretty much anywhere that doesn't include direct sunlight. You'll also appreciate the 1080P FHD IR camera, which is perfect for those who need to have meetings regularly on the go or when working from home.

Lenovo’s cheap Surface Pro alternative is down to $270
A Lenovo Chromebook Duet at an angle on a white background.

While Microsoft Surface laptops are great, they tend to be quite pricey, especially if you're looking for something a bit more robust, like what some of the best laptops offer. That applies to the Surface Pro as well, and if you want something that's a bit more affordable while offering a similar experience, then this Lenovo Chromebook Duet 3 is a great option. In fact, you can snag it for just $270 from Lenovo instead of the usual $420, which saves you a solid $160 in the process.

Why you should buy the Chromebook Duet 3
One great thing about Chromebooks is that they run on ChromeOS, which is a lot lighter than Windows, meaning you don't need as powerful hardware to run it, and that's where the Chromebook Duet 3 shines. In fact, when we got our hands on it, we felt that "this little Chrome OS tablet can handle a surprising range of tasks, falling short of only the most demanding productivity and creative workflows." A lot of that is due to the Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 processor under the hood, which is powerful enough to run this little device while also allowing for pretty much any productivity and day-to-day tasks.
