Farming with friends in Stardew Valley is one of most relaxing ways to spend your day. While the game itself doesn't have cross-platform support, you can at least still play multiplayer with friends on the same platform. Well, any platform except for mobile. Before the 1.6 update, anyone playing the mobile version only had their villagers to keep them company, but now there's a way to invite your real friends to the farm. Using a hidden cheat code, you can now access an experimental mobile version of Stardew Valley. Here's how to test it out.

How to play Stardew Valley multiplayer on mobile

The first thing to note is that this mode is still in beta and highly experimental. Developer ConcernedApe has explicitly said that he is keeping it hidden for now due to the likelihood of bugs and glitches. If you're willing to take that risk, here's how to access it:

Step 1: Go to the Stardew Valley title screen.

Follow these arrows as you input the secret code to access mobile multiplayer in Stardew Valley.

Step 2: Using the chart above, tap on the arrows in this order:

↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → and then press the ? icon in the bottom-right corner.

Step 3: Exit the ? screen and there will now be a co-op button on your home screen.

Step 4: You can select to Join or Host a game.

If you are joining, you will need to type in the IP of the host. If you are going to host, you will first need to start the farm before others can connect to your IP.

You can find your IP on iOS via Settings -> Wi-Fi. Select the i next to your Wi-Fi name and then look for you IP Address. On Android: Settings > Network & internet > Internet. Clock the gear icon next to your Wi-Fi name and find your IP address.

All players must be on the same network for this to work, so you can't play over long distances as of right now.

How to upgrade weapons and armor in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Key art for Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

What kind of RPG would Dragon Age: The Veilguard be without plenty of loot? After you've picked your class, customized your character, and gotten into the thick of the adventure, you will start accumulating plenty of new armors, weapons, and accessories for your Rook. How powerful your gear is, no matter what type, comes down to two factors: its rarity and its level. The former you have little control over, but upgrading is something you need to do yourself. It takes a surprising amount of time before the option becomes available, and you need to know where to even look to start the process, so we'll give you the blueprints on how to upgrade your gear in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

How to hold more potions in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
A dark and dreary landscape in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Potions are a mainstay in almost all fantasy media. In the world of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, they only come in one form, which is your classic healing potion. These mysterious elixirs are your only way to restore HP after you get smacked around a bit by some Darkspawn, but they are a notably limited resource, with just three by default. Upgrading how many potions you can hold is a common mechanic in games such as this, yet you would be hard-pressed to find a way to do it here since there's nothing in the skill trees or upgrade system that seems to allow it. There are at least two ways to hold more potions, however, so drink up as we go over what you need to do.
How to hold more potions in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

The first way to hold one extra potion in Dragon Age: The Veilguard has to be done during the character creator phase. When you're selecting which Faction your Rook is as part of their background, you will see that each one comes with several traits. The Antvan Crows specifically are the only one that gives you the Hidden Pouch trait that lets you hold one extra potion. Sadly, just like your class, this isn't something you can change once you've selected it.
