A landmark gaming PC should have plenty of processing and graphical power on top of efficient airflow and chassis design. After all, you don’t want your prized machine overheating when you’re in the throes of a Baldur’s Gate III battle. That’s why we tend to favor Alienware deals when vetting gaming PC discounts, which leads us to today’s promo:

Right now, when you order the Alienware Aurora R16 Gaming Desktop through Dell, you’ll save a whopping $800! At full price, this model sells for $2,800.

Why you should buy the Alienware Aurora R16 Gaming Desktop

This version of the Alienware Aurora R16 comes with an Intel Core i9 (max clock speeds of 5.60GHz), an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Super, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. On paper, the CPU and GPU alone really seal the deal with this model, but we love that the PC is able to lean on a trove of memory and excellent storage, too. And lending a hand in the efficiency department is the 1000W platinum-rated PSU with its 240mm liquid-cooling system. Expect lightning-fast response times, next to no input lag, and gorgeous graphics (you should also check out the best monitor deals we’ve been keeping tabs on).

You’ll also be able to use the Alienware Command Center desktop software to get into the nitty-gritty of your gaming specs. The program keeps track of CPU and GPU vitals and even lets you customize the RGB lighting of the Aurora R16. On top of one year of Alienware support, the R16 also comes with a 30-day free trial of Microsoft Office 365.

It’s hard to say how long this Alienware offer will stick around, but it could be a while before the next big markdown comes along. That being said, today might be the best day to save $800 on the Alienware Aurora R16 Gaming Desktop. There’s really no limit to how much one can spend on a gaming PC. The most basic machines only cost a few hundred bucks or so and may be strong enough to get you through a round or two of Minecraft. But if you’re the kind of PC gamer who wants as much power and performance as money can buy, it’s a good idea to start looking at Alienware deals. Fortunately, that’s part of our job, and we came across this terrific offer while looking through Dell promotions:

Dell Inspiron 15 -- $280, was $330

With Dell being one of the best laptop brands out there, even its budget offerings are worth considering. With the Dell Inspiron 15, you get all the basic essentials needed for working on the move, as long as it isn’t anything too demanding. This particular model has a 12th-generation Intel Core i3-1215U processor along with 8GB of memory and 256GB of SSD storage. None of that is particularly impressive. You may find yourself needing to use cloud storage to supplement your storage, and it could use a RAM upgrade. However, this is a super cheap laptop. It also has a surprisingly good screen for the price. It has a 15.6-inch full HD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 250 nits of brightness, and narrow borders. That and its roomy keycaps and spacious touchpad ensure this laptop is good for basic needs.

Snag an Alienware RTX 4090 laptop with this $600 discount
The Alienware m18 R2 gaming laptop with Baldur's Gate 3 on the screen.

If you're looking to grab a new gaming laptop, then one of the most well-known brands is Alienware, and it's fair to say that it has some of the best you can find on the market. In fact, if you're looking for the best money can buy, it will be hard to beat this configuration of the Alienware m18 R2, which comes with a whopping RTX 4090 mobile. Of course, getting the best of the best is going to be pricey, which is why we're happy to see this deal from Dell that knocks it down to $3,200 from the original $3,800, which is still quite pricey, but the $600 discount is well worth it.

Why you should buy the Alienware m18 R2
This configuration of the Alienware m18 R2 comes with an RTX 4090 mobile, although it is worth mentioning that mobile GPUs tend to be a step down from the desktop versions, so this is closer to the performance of an RTX 4080. Even so, that's still a powerful card, especially since this laptop runs an 18-inch QHD resolution, while the RTX 4080 is close to a 4K GPU, so you'll easily hit 60-80fps with the highest graphical settings on the latest games. Interestingly, the screen can go up to 165Hz refresh rate, so if you want to prioritize that for things like competitive games, you can absolutely do that, too.
