Prepare yourselves for the coming of Halo 4

It’s been over five years since we’ve had the pleasure of murdering anything as Master Chief. Following the conclusion of what we’ll have to soon start calling the original trilogy, or perhaps the conclusion of the Covenant War if you include Halo: Reach and ODST in the discussion, Master Chief finally returns.

As you probably know by now, Master Chief was left floating in space, heading into a cryogenic tube at the end of Halo 3, while most of the universe thought he was dead. If you didn’t know that, sorry. Spoilers. But the story continues where the final clip of Master Chief left off, with the remains of the UNSC ship Forward Unto Dawn orbiting a mysterious planet.

With Bungie gone, the duties have fallen to 343 Industries, who are promising a new trilogy of games, featuring a new threat and an original new storyline, ensuring that we are far from done with the iconic Master Chief.

This is easily one of, if not the most anticipated game of the year. When Bioshock came out in 2007, it blew expectations out of the water. Not only did it introduce us to the memorable world of Rapture deep below the sea, but it pulled off one of the most shocking plot twists in gaming history. The sequel stuck to the same setting, but Infinite once again invited us to a brand new dystopia floating in the clouds. Similar to Assassin's Creed, these games have become defined by their settings, which is why we have all been eagerly awaiting the next entry to see what fantastic space we would be exploring. While original creator Ken Levine has moved on to Judas, 2K has had Cloud Chamber Studios working on a new entry since 2019. Release date speculation

Neither 2K nor Cloud Chamber has committed to a release date for Bioshock 4. The latest unofficial update was spotted on LinkedIn by GamesRadar. Senior cinematic designer Jeff Spoonhower posted the follwoing: "The Bioshock team at 2K Cloud Chamber is ramping up! We have many positions open across a variety of disciplines including art, animation, engineering, design, narrative, and production."

When talking about the best RPGs you can play right now, The Witcher 3 is going to be brought up. In fact, odds are that it will even appear in most people's best games of all time list, and for good reason. Inspired by the book series of the same name, the first Witcher game is one of the best PC games, and has now become a household name thanks to the success of the Netflix show. However, after the third game, CD Project Red moved on to Cyberpunk 2077 and we were left wondering if we'd tossed our last coin to the Witcher.

It seems there are still more stories to tell in The Witcher universe, with multiple projects in the works. The most interesting, of course, is the next step in the story, which we're currently calling The Witcher 4. We've taken our potions, oiled up our blades, and are ready to hunt down all the information we know so far about this highly anticipated upcoming game.

Borderlands 4: everything we know so far

If it weren't for the original Borderlands, the looter-shooter genre wouldn't exist as we know it today. This hybrid RPG/first-person shooter from Gearbox not only introduced us to the wild and wacky world of Pandora and Vault Hunters, but also to the addictive loop of grinding for endless amounts of guns. The sequel was even better, perhaps one of the best video games of all time for some, but the third was a mixed bag. It managed to keep people playing thanks to plenty of DLC and being a great cross-platform game for co-op, but we've all been waiting for a fresh adventure on Pandora.
