Lenovo unleashes Erazer X700 gaming desktop and two new AIOs

Lenovo has stepped into the world of high-end gaming desktops with the ERAZER X700. An entirely new system, the X700 supports all the features that hardcore gamers look for, including dual graphics, liquid cooling, and a beefy power supply. It also boasts a one-click overclocking feature that can easily enhance performance when it’s needed most. Availability begins in June with an MSRP of $1,499.

The flashy ERAZER is flanked by a pair of all-in-ones that improve on Lenovo’s existing product line. Buyers on a budget will want to check out the C540, a 23-inch mainstream AIO that offers an Intel Core i3 processor, an optional 5-point touchscreen, and optional Nvidia discrete graphics. It comes with Dolby Advanced Audio V2 for surround sound Lenovo’s gearing the C540 towards family use and home entertainment. Consumers can grab it in February for as little as $549, but that price does not include touch. The Touch model will become available in June at an undisclosed price.

Also updated is the IdeaCentre A730. The refresh receives an upgraded 27-inch 2560 x 440 display that directly addresses one of the problems we noted in our review of the preceding A720. Touch models will still be restricted to 1080p, however. Less than an inch thick, Lenovo is touting this as “the world’s slimmest 27-inch multi-touch all-in-one.” The A730 can be powered by up to an Intel Core i7 processor with up to Nvidia GeForce GT 745M graphics. Lenovo plans to ship the A730 in June at an MSRP of $1,499. These new and updated systems are just a portion of the numerous products Lenovo has shown at CES 2013. It’s likely that those models shipping in June will feature Intel’s 4th generation Core processors, which are currently projected to release in late May.
