Leaked renderings of Koenigsegg One:1 reveal carbon fiber, well, everything – and 1,400hp and 1,400kg to boot?

Last November we brought you the single image from a sales brochure of what was then believed to be the latest Bugatti-beating Koenigsegg, called the One:1.

Now we have what are widely considered the latest leaks of the already infamous Swedish hypercar. In the low-res discussion board sourced renders, we can see a few more details of the One:1, including its carbon fiber wheels.

The One:1 isn’t as silly a name as you think it is. It actually stands for the car’s ideal power-to-weight ratio, with one horsepower for each kilogram in its curb weight.

Engine details are not yet known but Autocar wagers the One:1 will feature a even more precisely tuned version of the Koenigsegg Agera’s twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8. In the Agera, that engine makes 947 horsepower, good for 0-62mph in 3.0 seconds. For the One:1, it’s expected to produce upwards of 1400 horsepower and a sub three-second 0-60 time.

Although power will be up and weight will be down, the Swedes will still offer some creature comforts in the One:1, including climate control, a hydraulic lift system so the body doesn’t collide with speed bumps, carbon-ceramic brakes, electrically locking rear differential, and a single-clutch seven-speed transmission with paddle shifters.

The One:1 is expected to run around $2-million. But don’t worry; you won’t even get a chance to buy one because all five examples are destined for China. Why? We haven’t a clue.

Kia EV9 front exterior

If the EV5 is anything like the EV9 -- only cheaper -- it'll be an instant success. Curious about whether the EV5 could be your next car? Here's everything we know about the EV5.
Design
Despite the lower number, the Kia EV5 is actually larger than the EV6 crossover — but not quite as large as the EV9 SUV. Kia calls it a “compact SUV” that offersa boxy design that’s similar to the EV9, but with only two rows of seats instead of three.
