A slam-dunk of a game for the talented developers at Rockstar, Grand Theft Auto 5 has been out for several years now, but it’s still an extremely popular title. Grand Theft Auto 6 may be on the way next year, but GTA 5 is still a worthwhile game to dive into.

If you’ve ever played a GTA game, you’ll know the going can get a little tough from time to time. This is why it’s nice to live in a world with cheat codes.

Whether you just want to have a ton of fun with unlimited health and ammunition, or you’re seriously struggling with a certain section of the game, we’ve rounded up all the cheat codes you’ll need to know for GTA 5, for platforms including PS4, PS5, Xbox, and PC.

How to use GTA 5 cheats

There are a few ways to enter GTA 5 cheat codes. The first and easiest is to use your cellphone. You can open your cellphone by pressing Up on the D-pad. From there, enter the corresponding number, and the cheat will fire. You can also classically input cheats by following a specific button combination. The combinations are the same across PlayStation and Xbox, but we’ve split them up to account for their different button-naming conventions, so it should feel more natural reading and entering them.

Is there a money cheat in GTA 5

Woman from Grand Theft Auto V.
Rockstar Games

There isn’t a money cheat in GTA 5, nor is there a working money generator. If you’re running low on cash in the game, there are legitimate ways to build a balance, such as completing missions, participating in heists, and using the in-game stock market to your advantage. You can also purchase “Shark Cards” with real-world money, which give you in-game currency.

All GTA Vice City cheats: PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC
Grand Theft Auto City's main character stands in front of a neon sign.

The past has never looked so good. That applies not only to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City -- Definitive Edition itself, but also the 1980s-inspired style of the titular city. This entry was a blast from the past when it was first released, and it's downright retro today. Thanks to the face-lift this remastering has provided, it has never been easier to go back and relive the story of Tommy Vercetti and his quest for revenge in this visually overwhelming take on an exaggerated version of a crime-infested '80s city.

As much love as this entry received when it came out for its story and characters -- it's still often considered one of the best games released on that entire generation of consoles -- Grand Theft Auto: Vice City pushed open-world games in a whole new direction. In keeping with series tradition, which continues to be the case, this title was jam-packed with cheats that can completely change how the game is played. This game has far more than any other in the recently released trilogy, making it ripe for revisiting to see what crazy antics you can cause. There are even a few new ones not included in the original, so even die-hard fans will want to see our full list of all the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City -- Definitive Edition cheat codes.

PS4 vs. PS5: which console should you buy in 2024?
PlayStation 5 controller and PS5.

PlayStation 5 has been available for several years now and amassed an impressive library of great PS5 games. The new-gen hardware makes big upgrades over its predecessor, letting gamers enjoy better graphics, shorter loading times, and support for the fancy DualSense controller and other PS5 accessories. It's also much more expensive than PS4, so while PS5 is better than PS4 in most regards, it might not be ideal for frugal shoppers.

But is PS4 or PS5 the better choice in 2024? Does the aging PS4 really make sense to purchase right now, or should you opt for the PS5? From pricing and available games to storage and resolution, here's a closer look at these two popular consoles.
PS5 vs. PS4 vs. PS4 Pro specs
Even a cursory glance at the specs of the PS5 shows that it’s in a different league than the PS4 (and even the PS4 Pro). Sony has improved the capabilities of its platform in every way, adding more efficient storage, faster compute parts, support for larger capacity disks, and support for higher resolutions. We know there are two versions of the PS5 -- the Standard Edition and Digital Edition -- both of which will offer the same specs (with the exception of the omission of a disc drive with the Digital Edition). There's also the new PS5 Pro, but we won't be comparing that to keep things simple.
