We’ve been hearing Nokia’s all set for a very busy event on October 22, where we could meet the Lumia 1520, the Lumia 2520, and potentially, another four new products too. A new leak has shed some light on one of those four mystery devices, and it’s being called the Lumia 1320. Apparently codename Batman, the phone could be a follow-up to Nokia’s successful, mid-range Lumia 625.
Initially revealed through the @evleaks Twitter account, The Verge has come up with a few details on the Lumia 1320, saying it’s going to be equipped with a 5-megapixel camera on the back, a VGA camera on the front, and a large screen size similar to the Lumia 625.
Nokia uses a 4.7-inch display on the 625, but if Nokia’s new model numbers do reference the device’s screen size, it could be slightly larger on the Lumia 1320. For example, the 1520 is expected to have a 6-inch screen, which is close to being 15-centimeters, while the Lumia 2520 may be a 10.1-inch tablet, a measurement, coincidentally, that’s also 25-centimeters. If this is correct, then the Lumia 1320’s screen could be five or 5.1-inches in size. If the size of the display does increase, we’re hoping for a resolution bump too, as the Lumia 625’s 480 x 800 pixel count won’t enjoy having to fill a larger space.
The event is still sometime away, but Nokia continues to push out the teaser images, and you can see the latest one at the top of the page. It’s promoting the live stream of the event, and all the devices on which it can be watched, but could also be hinting at what’s to come on the day. No, we doubt Nokia has a laptop for us, but a keyboard dock for the Lumia 2520 tablet has been previously rumored.
We’ll be bringing you all the news from Nokia World on October 22.
