Check out our review of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.
Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes is set to launch for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on March 18, 2014, Konami confirms. It’s the first part of a larger story that will eventually continue in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Both games continue the chain of events set in motion in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Ground Zeroes serves as a downloadable prologue, and it’s a smaller game than its eventual successor. This means a lower price point of $30 on PS4/XB1 consoles, and $20 as on PS3/Xbox 360 ($30 for a boxed copy).
Both Xbox versions of the game will include the platform-exclusive “Jamais Vu” mission, which brings in cybernetic super-ninja Raiden – the star of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance – as a playable character. PlayStation fans get some exclusive content of their own as well, in the form of the “Deja Vu” mission, which offers up the Solid Snake character of the previous games as a playable character.
Konami has a new gameplay clip out for you to peek at, complete with developer commentary. It’s 15 minutes of footagmuch of which has been released previously, but there’s some new stuff looking at how the difficulty settings differ.
