Ever Wanted Your Own Cell Phone Network?

Ever Wanted Your Own Cell Phone Network?Fed up with your current cell phone calling plan? Do you find the customer service to be frustrating? Why not take the ultimate step and start your own cell phone network? It might sound extreme, butone company is making independence possible.   Sonopia has begun offering anyone the chance to start theirown network, and it’s free. More than that, you can even earn a little money from it. The company is able to take care of all the details, and arrange different calling plans, which they claimare competitive with the big companies. All you have to do is find subscribers for your new venture.   According to Sonopia CEO Juka Christensen, this is the wave of the future.   “Ifyou fast forward five years from now, we think it is unlikely that the cell phone market won’t be as vibrant and micro-segmented as many other industries,” he predicted. “We’re justtrying to step in early.”   Although the service is still very much in its infancy, it’s found favor with some clients, including the Long IslandDucks baseball team and the National Wildlife Federation, who see it not only as a way of binding supporters closer, but also as a revenue stream, since Sonopiapays network owners between three and eight per cent of the network’s monthly revenue. Additional customization allows networks to offer special features to members. But you don’t need tobe an organization to take advantage of this; a number of families around the country have begun their own networks using the service.   So how does Sonopia do it? After all, they don’town their own network or wireless spectrum. Quite simply, they buy minutes in bulk from Verizon Wireless, then repackage them forcustomers. They also have deals with various cell phone makers for handsets.   Time will tell whether Sonopia is ahead of the curve, but for now the chance to be a cell phone magnate isappealing to a number of people.
