These days, when we think of uber-popular and controversial torrent site Pirate Bay, we can’t help but think of I’ve Been Everywhere, a tune by music legend Johnny Cash about his many travels. Considering how often Pirate Bay has had switch domains lately, we’re sort of forced to see a fair bit of commonality between The Man in Black and what’s arguably the world’s most popular torrent site.

Just days after Pirate Bay moved to a Peru-based domain, it’s had to raise its anchors again and jump ship to a domain based in Guyana.  Peru suspended Pirate Bay’s domain, so the site had to set sail and has landed within the South American nation’s virtual borders.

Think Pirate Bay is worried about having to constantly move from one domain to another like a pack of unwelcome nomads? Think again. They’ve got multiple contingency plans set up in the event that they continue to get booted. Here’s what a Pirate Bay insider had to say about the matter when speaking with TorrentFreak.

“We have some 70 domain names left, so eventually we will find one that sticks. A few domains have been prepared so we can switch over whenever’s needed.”

You may be wondering whether Pirate Bay is concerned that users won’t be able to find them if they have to move again, which has certainly become an issue for the site considering their traffic has sunk by 15 percent in the past several days. Pirate Bay’s advice for this very situation?

“Just Google for it.”

That works for the most part, but it’ll be interesting to see whether the site’s traffic falls further in the event that they’re forced to continue hopping from one domain to another.

Asus laptop on top of a pile of books.

CES 2025 is just two weeks away and Asus is planning to launch, among other things, a new ultrathin laptop that it claims will be the world's lightest Copilot+ PC.

A short trailer for the mysterious product posted by Asus shows it floating like a feather, but we don't have any numbers yet on just how light the laptop will be. To earn its title, it will definitely need to weigh under 2.6 pounds to beat the Surface Pro 11th edition (keyboard included) and the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x.

The M5 family of chips will be manufactured on TSMC's N3P node, the next step up from the N3E on the M4. Kuo says the new node "entered the prototype phase a few months ago," but it's the first time we're getting three generations of chips in a row that use the 3nm node.

Google one-ups Microsoft by making chats easier to transfer
Google Spaces in Google Chat on a MacBook.

In a recent blog post, Google announced that it is making it easier for admins to migrate from Microsoft Teams to Google Chat to reduce downtime. Admins can easily do this within the Google Chat migration menu and connect to opposing Microsoft accounts to transfer Teams data.

Google gave step-by-step instructions for admins on how to transfer the messages. Admins need to connect to their Microsoft account and upload a CSV of the Teams from where they transfer the messages. From there, it requires just entering a starting date for messages to be migrated from Teams and clicking Star migration. Once it's complete, it'll make the migrated space, messages, and conversation data available to Google Workspace users.
