Proving that nothing screams “luxury” quite like thinly masked alcoholism, Iomega rolled out its new leather-wrapped eGo drive on Thursday, which looks, well… like a flask. Although meant, as Iomega puts it, for “displaying panache in the boardroom,” a glimpse of this eGo in your laptop case without explanation might just have the execs you hope to impress dragging you to an AA meeting.
Sporting the unmistakable curved profile of everyone’s favorite covert drinking vessel, the eGo packs not vodka, but a 2.5-inch portable drive with 250GB of storage. It’s also powered solely by a USB 2.0 connection, so there’s no need to bring along a blocky power supply, and Iomega claims its DropGuard technology keeps the drive safe from falls up to 51 inches.
The brown leather-clad eGo is available now for $142.45, the same price as its new camo drive, but more expensive than the standard (but still flask-like) 250GB eGo drives. And in case you clicked on the thumbnail with the wrong item in mind, well, we found that too.
