Samsung has signed a deal with Amazon, and will jointly launch a custom version of the Kindle book store made specifically for Galaxy phone and tablets. Initially reported by Engadget, Samsung has since provided all the information concerning the new app.

Updated on 04-18-2014 by Andy: Samsung has officially announced Kindle for Samsung, a Galaxy-only app, and Samsung Book Deals, a service which provides up to 12 free books to download per year.

Initially thought to only be for Galaxy S5 owners, Samsung Book Deals through the Kindle for Samsung app will be available to anyone with a Galaxy smartphone or tablet. Owners will be entitled to download 12 free books per year, taken from a choice of four offered up each month. The books on offer will be “prominent,” so expect an Amazon-curated list of well-known novels from which to choose.

Additionally, the app will also provide access to newspapers and magazines, along with 500,000 book titles which are exclusive to the Kindle store. It also features Whispersync, so your place in a book is saved across all your Kindle devices and apps, plus the option to backup your books in the cloud using Amazon’s Worry-Free Archive feature.

The Kindle for Samsung book store app joins a wealth of other free apps and services which come with the Galaxy S5. Samsung’s Galaxy Gifts offer includes $500 worth of free content, ranging from a year’s worth of RunKeeper Premium access, to six months subscription to the Wall Street Journal. The package is a considerable extra incentive to buy a Galaxy S5, and the dedicated Kindle book store should offer something for everyone.

The free book offer is reminiscent of Amazon’s Kindle First program, where subscribers can have early access to brand new books. The titles are all chosen by Amazon’s publishing team, and provided you’re an Amazon Prime member, the books are free to download.

Samsung says the app is available right now in 90 countries around the world, but don’t go looking for it inside the Google Play store. Instead, you’ll need to visit Samsung’s own app store on your phone.

Less than a week ago, we covered a Samsung Galaxy S25 leak that hinted at its possible colors. Now that information has been corroborated and more from Ross Young (@DSCCRoss) on X (formerly Twitter). When that story went up, we didn't have the color names. Now we do — and they're sparkly.

According to Young, the base S25 will come in four colors: Moon Night Blue, Silver Shadow, Sparkling Blue, and Sparkling Green. The Galaxy S25 Plus will come in five colors: Midnight Black, Moon Night Blue, Silver Shadow, Sparkling Blue, and Sparkling Green.

If you've got your sights set on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, the good news is that it's already part of Samsung's tablet deals through its trade-in program. The device's 256GB model carries a sticker price of $1,200, but you can get an up to $800 discount if you trade in an eligible device, which means the tablet may be yours for as low as $400. There's no danger of stocks running out because it was just launched this month, but we still recommend hurrying with your transaction because the trade-in offer may change at any time.

Why you should buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is equipped with a massive 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreen, but it's still comfortable to use because it's not too heavy to carry. Samsung ditches Qualcomm's processors in favor of the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus, which delivers impressive performance improvements compared to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra while also improving the efficiency of its 11,200 mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is the first tablet built for Samsung's Galaxy AI, which offers a host of helpful features, such as Sketch to Image, which creates AI-generated artwork from your sketches.

Here’s a closer look at the Samsung Galaxy S25’s new displays
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra's screen, resting on a bench.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 has been on our radar for quite a while now, especially with a potential new design, AI functionality, and a whole slew of other awesome features. Its display has been a special topic of conversation with leaker Ice Universe's info drops, and now we have even more solid news: The tipster posted pictures of the actual displays online.

Ice Universe's picture shows the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra laid out side-by-side. The image confirms the theorized thinner bezels and the Ultra's rounded corners. It's not easy to gauge size based on a picture, but it's evident that the S25 Ultra is larger than the other two models. That said, Ice Universe previously suggested the display would be roughly 6.9 inches along the diagonal. This most recent shot lends credence to that.
