Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gamers are always going on about how the Nintendo WIi doesn’t offer high-quality third party games—particularly action and combat titles. Game publisher THQ is looking to change that with Deadly Creatures, a new immersive third-person combat game in which player control either a scorpion or tarantula as they fight for survival amongst gila monsters, lizards, snakes, black widows, and even humans in an immersive desert and man-made environment. And, Deadly Creatures is exclusive to the Nintendo Wii.
"Deadly Creatures takes a completely new approach to gaming on Wii, dropping players into an immersive setting from a perspective they’ve never experienced before," said THQ VP Randy Shoemaker, in a statement. "In addition to being one of the most innovative titles for Wii, Deadly Creatures brings a tremendous level of graphic quality and depth of game-play to the Wii library."
And did we mention the game features the voices of Billy Bob Thornton and Dennis Hopper?
THQ says Deadly Creatures features an innovative motion control combat system can enabled combinations, along with a "darkly compelling" story of human betrayal and greed to keep players riveted.
Deadly Creatures has shipped to retailers, and carries a suggested price of $49.99. The game has been rated T for "Teen" by the ESRB.
