With X-Men: Days Of Future Past hitting theaters this weekend, Professor Charles Xavier’s team of mutant superheroes are front and center in the Hollywood hype machine, reminding everyone that the upcoming, time-hopping adventure will feature an impressive list of characters old and new when the franchise returns to the screen.

One of the promotional elements Fox has rolled out for Days Of Future Past is a series of “Power Piece” videos that profile some of the mutants appearing in the film and offer a brief glimpse at the powers they wield. A trio of new videos recently arrived online that put the spotlight on two returning mutants, Iceman and Colossus, and one new addition to the franchise, Bishop.

Recommended Videos

One video features Iceman (Shawn Ashmore) showing off his ability to generate powerful blasts of ice and freeze the objects around him, while another showcases the mutant ability of Colossus (Daniel Cudmore) to turn his skin into a malleable, but near-indestructible metal. The final video features newcomer Bishop (Omar Sy), a mutant from the future who is able to absorb and redirect energy. All three of the characters are shown in the dystopian future timeline of the film, wherein massive robotic “sentinels” are hunting the mutants.

Previous “Power Piece” videos have featured Professor X (James McAvoy), Storm (Halle Berry), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), and Blink (Bingbing Fan), among other mutants. The entire series is archived at the official X-Men movies channel on YouTube.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past hits theaters May 23.

Aarron Taylor-Johnson in the official poster for "Kraven the Hunter."

Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU) has not gone according to plan. Several SSU entries, including Morbius and Madame Web, have been either critically reviled or box office failures. The three Venom films have all been profitable but garnered a negative reception. J.C. Chandor is hoping his film, Kraven the Hunter, will turn the SSU in a positive direction.

While speaking with Comicbook.com, Chandor acknowledged the criticisms of Sony's previous Spider-Man films. Chandor is hoping that fans will watch Kraven with an open mind and not let the SSU's negative reception cloud their judgment.

A man and woman stand across and face each other.

Yellowstone season 5, part 2 wasted no time addressing Kevin Costner's departure. John Dutton is dead, and now his children are in an all-out war. On one side, Jamie (Wes Bentley) is plotting to take over his father's position as governor of Montana. On the other side, Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Kayce (Luke Grimes) are looking into how their father died, with Beth convinced that Jamie orchestrated the murder.

With only four episodes remaining, Taylor Sheridan still has many loose ends to tie up. Something tells us that John won't be the only Dutton to die this season. Find out how to watch the next episode of Yellowstone below.
