Another day, another online encounter with the robots of Transformers: Age Of Extinction. This time around, however, the upcoming film wants you to remember the terrible toll the Transformers take on our planet, and why it might just be better to “Keep Earth Human” at all costs.
That’s the theme of the recently launched site at TransformersAreDangerous.com, which offers up a new video describing the threat humans face from Transformers and a series of fictional newspaper articles published in the wake of the devastating events of Transformers: Dark Of The Moon. In the new video, clips from the 2011 film that culminated with a massive battle in Chicago are shown under faux news reports detailing the destruction of the city.
The video ends with a warning that plays on New York City’s “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign that was adopted by the Department of Homeland Security throughout most U.S. cities after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
Among the faux newspaper clippings featured on the site are several articles describing widespread anti-Transformer sentiment that developed after the events of Dark Of The Moon, including one snippet of an article about Congress approving the exile of all Transformers from the U.S.
You can watch the “Keep Earth Human” video below, and you need only wait until June 27 to find out exactly how much the world has changed for the robots in disguise when Transformers: Age Of Extinction hits theaters.
