Microsoft’s Major Nelson has shared the next round of free games coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360 through the Games with Gold program.

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition, DrinkBox Studios’ colorful “Metroidvania” brawler, replaces Halo: Spartan Assault on Xbox One. Press Play’s creative platformer Max: The Curse of Brotherhood remains available through July.

Xbox 360 gamers will be granted free access to Monolith Productions’ quirky, Batman-themed team FPS Gotham City Impostors from July 1-15. Then, from July 16-31, they will be treated to BattleBlock Theater, the semi-co-op platform brawler from Castle Crashers studio The Behemoth.

As the name implies, Games with Gold offers are only available to Xbox Live Gold subscribers. You get permanent access to the games once they’re downloaded, even after their Games with Gold tenure ends, so be sure to grab any outgoing games that pique your interest before they disappear.

Microsoft made an important change the other day to its service agreement, replacing mention of Xbox Live with Xbox online service. We reached out to the company regarding this change, and here's what one of its spokespersons had to say.

"The update to 'Xbox online service' in the Microsoft Services Agreement refers to the underlying Xbox service that includes features like cross-saves and friend requests. This language update is intended to distinguish that underlying service, and the paid Xbox Live Gold subscription. There are no changes being made to the experience of the service or Xbox Live Gold."
