This year’s Comic-Con International in San Diego was filled with big news about some of the most anticipated films hitting theaters over the next few years, but in the lead-up to Saturday’s Warner Bros. movie panel, the studio released the first photo of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in the upcoming Man Of Steel sequel, Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

Ever since the Israeli actress from the Fast & Furious films was cast as Wonder Woman back in December 2013, there’s been no shortage of speculation regarding the visual direction that Dawn Of Justice director Zack Snyder would take the character. Reports have indicated that she’s likely to have a new origin story for the film, which pits Superman (Henry Cavill) against Batman (Ben Affleck) in a not-too-subtle precursor to the trio forming the DC Comics superhero team known as The Justice League.

Gadot’s version of Wonder Woman looks to lean heavily on the character’s warrior nature, with leather armor and a short sword accompanying the braided lasso on her hip.

Given reports that WB is planning a Wonder Woman solo movie down the road, it will be interesting to see how much of a role Gadot’s character plays in Dawn Of Justice — though it probably says something that she appeared on stage during Saturday’s panel at Comic-Con for a brief period with Affleck and Cavill before all three exited the event together.

Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice hits theaters May 6, 2016, and along with Affleck, Cavill, and Gadot, the film also stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Scoot McNairy.

Are you ready for Glicked? Yes, that's the actual nickname for the simultaneous release of Gladiator 2 and Wicked this weekend. Hollywood is hoping for another bountiful Barbenheimer box office bonanza (say that three times fast), and if the tracking is correct, they are going to get it. Expect tons of crowds at movie theaters this weekend.

If you're like me and hate people, er, crowds, then don't worry, I've got you covered. You can stay in and enjoy some films that have been overlooked. None of them have the spectacle of Ariana Grande singing in a floating pink bubble or Paul Mescal in a blood-stained toga, but maybe that's a good thing.

This week, one of last summer's sleeper hits, Alien: Romulus, is making its streaming debut on Hulu. And that film more than earned its place on our weekly list of the three great Hulu movies that you need to stream this weekend.

Our other picks include a period drama that has a great cast, as well a sports comedy from an actress-turned-talk show host.
