Jaguar design director Ian Callum’s reimagined Mark 2 sedan is a thing of beauty, and now you don’t have to be a world-renowned car designer to enjoy it.
Callum collaborated with British restoration shop Classic Motor Cars (CMC) to build this resto-modded Mark 2 for his own personal use, but now he’s agreed to let CMC build a limited run of cars for customers.
The car may have only been unveiled last week, but it’s become a worldwide sensation. CMC says it received calls from people wanting one of their own within hours of the first photos showing up online. That led the company to ask Callum if it could make a few more copies.
“I wasn’t sure how it would be received but I have been both astounded and delighted with the response,” Callum said, “I am pleased that a few more cars are going to be built.

The “Mark 2 by Callum” is defined by subtle exterior modifications that preserve the original Jaguar design, while giving the car a cleaner, more modern appearance.
Those modifications include body-color bumpers, front fender louvers, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Customers will also get to specify exterior and interior colors.
Underneath the reworked skin, the Mark 2 boasts a tuned 4.3-liter V8 from the Jaguar XK and five-speed manual transmission. Along with reworked suspension and brakes, it ensures the Mark 2 will be as good to drive as it is to look at.
This piece of rolling sculpture doesn’t come cheap, though. CMC is asking between 350,000 and 375,000 pounds (between $571,000 and $612,000 at current exchange rates) per copy.
The company didn’t say how many cars it would build, but if you’ve got that kind of money lying around it might be a good idea to reserve one now.
