“Friends, this is the darkest day of my life. Things will never be the same. Molly got hit by a falling tree while we were biking. At hospital now. Prognosis is grim,” Foust wrote on Facebook after the accident.

Glynn was a talented theater actress, whose 17 lead roles on stage earned her many fans in the Chicago Theater scene. She starred in productions led by the Steppenwolf, Chicago Shakespeare, Next, Northlight and Writers theater companies. She also played a recurring role as a doctor on Chicago Fire, Boss, and appeared in Early Edition.
“She was a loving mother and wife and everyone who met her fell in love with her,” Michael Halberstam, artistic director of Writers Theatre in Chicago said in a statement. “She possessed a rare combination of talent, heart and beauty in all aspects of her life.”
Shortly after Glynn’s death was announced, a Give Forward campaign was founded in her memory to help raise money for funeral costs and the actress’ family. So far the fund has raised more than $120,000.
