PORTLAND, ORE. – OCTOBER 22, 2014 – Digital Trends, a leading consumer technology publisher, announces its call for submissions for its third annual tech awards for outstanding new products at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

The newly named “Digital Trends Awards – Top Tech of CES” will highlight the best products on display at CES by choosing multiple finalists across product categories and one overall “Best in Show” winner. Digital Trends editors will select the winning products based on their level of innovation, real-world use and design.

Digital Trends will recognize products in the following categories:

  • Audio Automotive
  • Computing
  • Cool Tech
  • Digital Home (Kitchen, Bath, Home Automation)
  • Gaming
  • Mobile
  • Photography
  • TV
  • Wearables

“CES brings together the world’s most innovative tech companies, large and small,” said Jeremy Kaplan, Editor-in-Chief of Digital Trends. “Our Top Tech of CES awards allow our editors to shine a spotlight on the most promising new products on the way in 2015 so that our readers know which have the most potential to impact the way we live.”

Digital Trends will announce finalists at CES on Wednesday, January 7, and will honor winners Thursday, January 8. As the official Digital Home media partner at CES for the second year in a row, Digital Trends editors and writers will be on site delivering breaking news of the hottest and most innovative electronics and gadgets arriving in 2015 — and shining a light on the smart appliances that have so captured the public’s attention.

To be considered for Digital Trends’ Top Tech of CES awards, products must be aimed at regular people (not businesses) and make their formal debut at CES 2015, which takes place in Las Vegas, Nev., from Jan. 6 – 9. Products will be judged on use of innovative technology and their ability to enhance people’s lives in new ways. Multiple entries will be accepted, and all embargoes and NDAs will be honored.
