Grand Theft Auto V‘s upcoming re-release for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One will come packing a host of new content, some of which is exclusively reserved for returning players from PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Players from the game’s earlier iterations will be able to transfer over their saved progress to either of the new machines, including any special or collector’s edition content, and pick right up where they left off.
Returning players will also be treated to a selection of new content that first timers will not receive, such as a murder mystery for Michael to unravel in story mode, a wildlife photography challenge, and some new stock car races. Exclusive rewards for these activities include a high-powered experimental rail gun, two Noir-style filters, and a Kraken submarine for you to release into the watery depths of Blaine County.

All players, new and old, will also receive a variety of fresh additions to the game, such as a fleet of classic GTA vehicles and plenty of unannounced surprises. Pre-ordering nets you a bonus cash infusion of $1 million in-game, split evenly between Story Mode and GTA Online. All of the new content is exclusive to the PS4/Windows/Xbox One editions of the game, though future content updates for GTA Online will support all platforms.
One last, exciting change is the lobby cap for GTA Online, which goes up from its current 16 players to a whopping 30. That massive increase should help to make the online worlds seem much more crowded with life and competition.
Grand Theft Auto V makes its debut on PS4 and Xbox One on November 18, 2014, with a Windows release following on January 27, 2015.
