As hypercars go, its really hard to outdo Pagani and its wonderfully outrageous vehicles. The Huayra may be the current car the Italian manufacturer has bestowed upon the world, but it’s the Zonda and its seemingly limitless special editions that we fell in love with.
It seems that Pagani itself feels the same way about its debut vehicle as YouTuber BrianZuk recently shared a video of a one-off Zonda freshly rolling out of the production facility in preparation for delivery.
Dubbed the 760 RSJX, we can speculate from the nomenclature that this special edition is based of the 760 RS, which is Pagani’s road legal version of the Zonda R. You may remember the R setting a new Nurburgring lap record in 2010, knocking Ferrari’s 599XX off the top of the list of non-road-legal vehicles with a time of 6:47.50.
Known as ‘La Bestia’ around the Pagani paddock, the 760 RS is powered by a 7.3-liter V12 engine sourced from Mercedes AMG that produces 750-horsepower (760 ps, hence the name) and 577 pound-feet of torque. It can rock a six-speed sequential gearbox or a six-speed manual, for the truly hardcore.
The raw option of a manual was made by Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton, when he nixed the sequential option and went for stick in his bespoke Zonda, the 760LH. Like Hamilton’s, it’s probable that the 760 RSJX bears the owner’s initials in the name as well. The video also coincides with pictures, appearing on prototypezero.net, of the teal blue hypercar being delivered to a dealership in Hong Kong, but it’s not clear if the customer resides there, or somewhere in the mainland.
The footage, filmed months prior to the delivery to its owner, doesn’t show much more than the car maneuvering around the production facility, but it’s nice to know that the Zonda is still getting love in hypercar-buying circles.
