Back in April, Olivia Munn joined the cast of the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past sequel X-Men: Apocalypse as the mutant Psylocke, and apparently she’s been hard at work getting into character as the deadly, telepathic ninja. In a new video posted by The Newsroom actress, Munn shows off some impressive skills with a sword while her famous boyfriend — Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers — attempts to keep up in the background.

Described by director Bryan Singer as the conclusion of a trilogy that began with 2011’s X-Men: First Class, the new film pits returning franchise characters and a variety of new heroes and villains from the X-Men universe — including both mutants and humans — against the tyrant known as Apocalypse. Munn plays series newcomer Betsy Braddock, a powerful telepath with formidable martial arts skills and the ability to create “psychic daggers” that she wields in battle.

In the video posted to Instagram by Munn, the actress spins a katana — another one of Psylocke’s signature weapons — and offers fans a taste of what’s to come in X-Men: Apocalypse.

As for Rodgers, who can be seen in the background awkwardly practicing his own sword skills, the former Super Bowl MVP should probably stick to football. (But the brief “Come at me, bro” gesture he flashes is certainly noted and appreciated.)

Directed by Singer from a script by series writer/producer Simon Kinberg and X2: X-Men United writers Mike Dougherty and Dan Harris, X-Men: Apocalypse stars franchise veterans Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult, as well as returning cast members Rose Byrne (as Moira MacTaggert), Lucas Till (Havok), and Evan Peters (Quicksilver). New additions to the series include Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Lana Condor as Jubilee, and Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse.

X-Men: Apocalypse is currently filming, with a scheduled release date of May 27, 2016.

The sequel to the Oscar-winning Gladiator, Gladiator II stars Paul Mescal as Lucius, the former heir to the throne and son of Maximus (Russell Crowe) and Lucilla (Connie Nielsen). After Roman forces kill his wife and force him into slavery, Lucius trains to be a gladiator and sets his sights on exacting his vengeance against the Empire.

Gladiator II will definitely be an awesome theatrical experience. After seeing Gladiator II, why not revisit more projects in Scott's filmography? Are you ready to get Glicked this weekend? No, I didn't call you a dirty name, that's the actual moniker being used for the simultaneous release of Wicked and Gladiator II. I'm not going to see either this weekend as both are expected to make tons of cash and draw in a lot of crowds in theaters over the next few days.

I'm content to stay in this weekend and queue up a good movie (or three) on Netflix. Feel the same way? Well, here's a handy list of a few underrated movies that are worth your time. You can always watch Glicked later in the year ... or never, if that's more your vibe.
