Thou shalt not hoverboard! Priest’s skillful ride during Mass gets him suspended

Watch Catholic Priest Deliver Swagged Out Sacred Mass On Hoverboard
A priest on a hoverboard is one thing, but a priest on a hoverboard during Christmas Eve Mass is entirely another. But it happened.

Trouble is, the Filipino Father in question has now been suspended for his two-wheeled trundle around the church after the local diocese got wind of the incident.

“That was wrong,” the Diocese of San Pablo said in a statement on Tuesday, adding, “The Eucharist demands utmost respect and reverence. It is the Memorial of the Lord’s Sacrifice. It is the source and summit of Christian life. It is the Church’s highest form of worship.”

Yeah, but, a priest on a hoverboard….singing a song…..

“Consequently, it is not a personal celebration where one can capriciously introduce something to get the attention of the people,” the statement continued.

But surely the unnamed priest deserves some praise for his actions – look at how he glides majestically among his congregation, controlling the board with the easy confidence of a rider who’s clearly put in many hours of dedicated practice. With so many YouTube videos showing novice riders hitting the deck, the priest’s skillful hoverboard handling must have felt like a Christmas miracle for many in the congregation.

Either way, the diocese was having none of it, announcing he’ll be “out of the parish [to] spend some time reflecting on this past event.”

It added, “The priest said that it was a wake up call for him; he acknowledged that his action was not right and promised that it will not happen again.”

While trade wars, tariffs, and wavering subsidies are very much in the cards for the auto industry in 2025, global sales of electric vehicles (EVs) are still expected to rise substantially next year, according to S&P Global Mobility.

"2025 is shaping up to be ultra-challenging for the auto industry, as key regional demand factors limit demand potential and the new U.S. administration adds fresh uncertainty from day one," says Colin Couchman, executive director of global light vehicle forecasting for S&P Global Mobility.
