We’re still a few weeks away from the presentation of this year’s Academy Awards, but the Screen Actors Guild handed out their awards over the weekend to honor the performances deemed the best of 2015 by the actors’ peers.

This year’s SAG Awards spread the love around with honors bestowed upon a wide range projects, genres, and roles, with only two actors managing to leave the ceremony with a pair of trophies. Still, despite quite a few awards going to predicted winners, there were also a few surprises among the honors handed out during Saturday’s ceremony.

British actor Idris Elba was the only actor to take home a pair of individual SAG Awards during the ceremony, after winning both the “Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role” award for his role in the Netflix-produced feature Beasts of No Nation and the award for “Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries” for his starring role in the BBC America series Luther.

Actress Uzo Aduba also took home a pair of SAG Awards. Along with winning the individual “Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series” award for her portrayal of Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren in the Netflix comedy series Orange is the New Black, she also shared in the group award for “Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series” that was won by the series.

After nabbing the most SAG Award nominations of any studio or network, Netflix ended the night with four awards for its projects. Along with the two awards for Orange is the New Black and the individual award for Beasts of No Nation, Kevin Spacey also took home the “Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series” award for his starring role in House of Cards. Netflix competitor Amazon Studios also took home an award, with Jeffrey Tambor winning the “Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series” award for his role in Transparent.

Two men sit and talk in Body of Lies.

Welcome to the week of Ridley Scott. The 86-year-old filmmaker's next movie is Gladiator II, the 29th feature film in his illustrious five-decade career. The sequel to the Oscar-winning Gladiator, Gladiator II stars Paul Mescal as Lucius, the former heir to the throne and son of Maximus (Russell Crowe) and Lucilla (Connie Nielsen). After Roman forces kill his wife and force him into slavery, Lucius trains to be a gladiator and sets his sights on exacting his vengeance against the Empire.

Gladiator II will definitely be an awesome theatrical experience. After seeing Gladiator II, why not revisit more projects in Scott's filmography? Are you ready to get Glicked this weekend? No, I didn't call you a dirty name, that's the actual moniker being used for the simultaneous release of Wicked and Gladiator II.
