Back in December 2015, Showtime debuted the first trailer for the upcoming Twin Peaks revival, and for the next few months, there was a steady drip of casting info, revealing the involvement of Naomi Watts, Tom Sizemore, and a few others.

While the intermittent peeks at Peaks’ roster have likely piqued fans’ interest, many wondered what the full cast list would look like. Fortunately, the floodgates opened up today, as Showtime revealed the full cast list of the show. According to USA Today, the lineup includes a startling 217 credited actors and actresses, and is replete with bona fide stars from screens both big and small.

Previously unannounced additions include Michael Cera, Jim Belushi, David Duchovny, Monica Bellucci, Ashley Judd, Tim Roth, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Matthew Lillard, Trent Reznor (of Nine Inch Nails fame), and Eddie Vedder (of Pearl Jam fame).

Wow. That’s a lot to chew on. Though we’re not exactly sure what to bite first, Michael Cera’s name certainly sticks out, and it will be interesting to see how his off-beat energy will fit with the mood of this revival. Aside from the Superbad actor, the presence of X-Files star David Duchovny and rock stars Trent Reznor and Eddie Vedder is intriguing to say the least.

A continuation of the hit series that aired from April 1990 to June 1991, the new Twin Peaks was scripted by series creators David Lynch and Mark Frost and is scheduled for an 18-episode arc. Lynch and Frost originally wrote the revival as a longer, continuous movie, but it was later divided into individual episodes.

For the time being, the show’s exact premiere date is still TBA, but it’s expected to be released some time in 2017. We’ll keep you updated as news breaks.
