T-Mobile
If you’re looking to switch carriers, T-Mobile is offering a new family plan that might be enticing.

If you sign up for four lines, you’ll get unlimited talk, text, and 6GB of data for $30 each. So you’re paying $120 for four lines with 24GB of data, but the data isn’t shared, so each person gets their own 6GB.

The limited time offer kicks in on May 11, and you’ll be able to add more lines for an additional $20 each. If you happen to buy a Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge for one of the new lines, T-Mobile will throw in a free Galaxy Grand Prime, a year-old budget phone with low specs running an older version of Android — 5.1 Lollipop. The Grand Prime is typically $190 from T-Mobile.

To get the Samsung buy-one-get-one-free deal, you’ll have to add at least one new line and the Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge will have to be enrolled in T-Mobile’s Equipment Installment Plan. The phones have to be purchased within the first 14 days of the promo period. If you meet all of those criteria, then you’ll be awarded with a $190 prepaid MasterCard card to purchase the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime.

In a similar vein, Verizon is offering a deal right now for 20GB shared data on four lines for $80. You’ll need to activate a new phone or get an upgrade for the deal to kick in, though.

And speaking of Samsung smartphones, AT&T is giving away a Samsung Galaxy S6 for free, if you purchase a Galaxy S7. You’ll have to get both on AT&T Next with a minimum service of $70 a month. The downside is that the S6 will also only be free after $585 in 30 monthly bill credits.

OnePlus 7T vs. iPhone 11: Which one will capture your next paycheck?
oneplus 7t review pocket

If you don't need a top-of-the-line premier smartphone that costs upwards of $1,000, a range of somewhat more affordable options with the features most people need is available at a more reasonable price. Current examples include last year's OnePlus 7T and the iPhone 11. But even mid-level devices pack an economic punch, and neither of these can be classified as budget phones -- not with base prices starting at $599 and $699 respectively. Let's see how they shake out in a feature-by-feature challenge.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE vs. OnePlus 8T
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE

Smartphones are getting more and more expensive, but that doesn’t mean you have to spend $1,000 or more to get a quality device. A premium midrange market has appeared, and competition is particularly fierce this year.

Two of the most significant models to come out this year have to be the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (FE) and the OnePlus 8T. The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is a toned-down Galaxy S20, swapping out some of the more premium features to make a “bare essentials” device that checks all the right boxes. The OnePlus 8T is a refresh of OnePlus’s entry-level OnePlus 8. It has some unique features on its own but ultimately cuts some corners to separate it from the Pro model. Which of these budget devices is the best for you? Let’s break them down to find out.

The best Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 cases and covers
the best samsung galaxy tab s7 cases feat image

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 -- all 11 inches of it -- is popularly viewed as the iPad Pro of the Android world. It has a slim bezel, supports a stylus that fits nicely into a cutout on the back, and can sport a detachable keyboard cover. As with all tablets, the screen tells the story. With the Tab S7, that story begins with an LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate supported by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. It even works as a second display for your PC, Apple Sidecar style. Another thing it has in common with an iPad, as well as other tablets, is its need for protection from drops, impact, scratches, dust, moisture, and other environmental hazards that can destroy a tablet's functionality.

Despite its relative newness on the market, we have found an impressive array of cases for the Tab S7 from well-known vendors.
