Zotac is teasing new additions to its Zbox range, ahead of a full reveal at Computex 2016 next week. The Macau-based manufacturer has given some details on several new mini PCs, built to specialize in tasks ranging from virtual reality to office productivity.
“This Computex comes at the right time for us to showcase our technical capabilities with award winning designs,” said Zotac CEO Tony Wong in a press release. “We are extremely thrilled to introduce our lineup of solutions that exhibits our innovation and adventurous spirit to push the boundaries of technology.”
The Zotac Magnus EN980 is being pitched as “the most powerful mini PC yet,” with specs capable of running VR content. Its Intel sixth-generation Skylake CPU and its Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 GPU are complemented by the company’s thermal engineering techniques.
The system also benefits from Zotac’s solution for portable VR. All the necessary components to enjoy VR content can fit inside a wearable backpack, making it possible to experience a virtual world without being tied to a computer tower.
The M series and C series have also been improved upon. Both were fitted with sixth-generation Skylake processors as well as other design tweaks. And a redesigned thermal system has been implemented so that these systems can house the new CPU.
Meanwhile, the P series is being joined by the world’s smallest mini PC to offer support for dual HD displays. The PI330 boasts a Cherry Trail processor from Intel as well as full-size HDMI and DisplayPort output ports. The company also plans to show off its PI220 and PI221 stick PCs.
The computing industry will descend upon Taipei next week as Computex 2016 takes over the city from May 31 to June 4. Zotac will have all these products and more on show in the Nangang Exhibition Hall.
