As we’ve pointed out before, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of the busiest men in Hollywood. According to ScreenCrush, however, that doesn’t stop him from dedicating time to his social media empire.

Johnson is very active on several platforms, including Twitter, where he recently debuted the first poster for Moana, Disney’s latest offering. He also teased the film’s first trailer, which will apparently arrive this Sunday.

The film follows a young woman (Moana) and a demi-god (Maui) as they journey to a legendary island, and this simple, yet stunning poster does a great job of conveying the sense of excitement and adventure that underpins the tale. Both principles are pictured on a makeshift sailboat, perched atop the crest of a crystal-blue swell. “The ocean is calling.” reads the text, and the full image is embedded below.

If it you’re craving something a bit more substantial, however, you don’t have long to wait for the teaser. Arriving this weekend, it should give us a better idea of what Moana (Auli’i Cravalho), Maui (Johnson), and company have in store for us.

Fresh off the massive hit that was Zootopia, Disney will be looking to hit a home run with this one and keep its momentum going.

As for the actor who spilled the beans, Johnson has a dizzying number of projects on his slate, including Fast 8, Rampage, Baywatch, Jumanji, and Doc Savage. His latest — Central Intelligence — is an buddy spy comedy and pairs him with pint-sized comedian Kevin Hart. That film hits theaters June 17.

As for Moana, the animated adventure will sail into theaters everywhere November 23

Like the Disney+ Marvel series Echo? Check out these 3 TV shows right now
Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez in Echo.

The first comic book series of 2024 has arrived, and Echo is marked departure from all of the other Disney+ shows that have previously been released. This is Marvel Studios' first TV-MA series, so Alaqua Cox's Maya Lopez/Echo will be breaking a lot of bones and bloodying bad guys while taking a few shots herself from the men hired by her estranged adoptive uncle, Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio). Maya did try to kill him in Hawkeye, after all. But what's a little attempted murder between family?

In a departure from previous releases, every episode of Echo has dropped on Disney+ and Hulu. So the season is basically already over once you've binged all five episodes. But if you're in the mood for more action in the vein of Echo, then check out these three shows for your next fix.

Disney+ and Hulu drop first trailer for Marvel’s Echo
Alaqua Cox in Echo.

Among the upcoming Marvel Studios original series, Echo has been one of the question marks because its leading character, Maya Lopez, is not a headlining heroine in Marvel's comics. However, the first trailer for Echo has been released by Disney+ and Hulu (which will both stream the series), and the first footage goes a long way towards winning us over by heavily leaning into the show's TV-MA rating. Especially when Maya's former guardian, Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio), brutally beats a man as Maya looks on.
