Apple has just introduced a redesigned MacBook Pro with a few bells and whistles. The focus this time around is on a thinner and lighter build, and an upgrade to a touch-sensitive OLED screen without any ugly notch. And, in case you were wondering, there is definitely a price premium to pay for these niceties, which also include a glowing Apple logo at the back. What if you wanted to get the best that Apple has to offer? Well, the numbers are finally here.

For a mere $14,549, you can get yourself the fully kitted 16-inch MacBook Pro PROLED XDR with the beefiest laptop chip that Apple has to offer, and the best memory configuration in tow. For nearly $15,000, you treat yourself to the 16-inch version of the laptop with a nano-texture glass layer on the screen to reduce reflections and glare.

As far as the innards go, the machine will offer you an M5 Max chip in its beefiest configuration, which includes an 18-core CPU and a 40-core GPU. The RAM is maxed out all the way up to 128 GB, while the storage space climbs up to 16 TB. Apple will bundle a 140-watt power brick in the package, so you won’t have to buy one separately.

If you don’t want to pay upfront for this machine, you can avail the financing option using Apple Card monthly payments, which start at $1,212 per month, running for a full year. Alternatively, you can lease the laptop with the Apple Upgrade Program, which would cost you roughly $332, stretching across 36 months. Apple also offers a 24-month plan if you want to pay for it at a quicker pace, though the monthly payments would climb to $468 for a two-year upgrade spell.

Apple will continue selling the regular MacBook Pro models in the 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, with the same M5 Pro and M5 Max chip options, alongside an entry-level version with the all-new M6 processor. In case you are curious, the 14-inch MacBook Pro PROLED XDR starts at $2,899, while the regular non-touch model’s base price is set at $1,999 in the US.

What’s actually new and different on the MacBook Pro PROLED XDR? Here’s everything you need to know
Touchscreen vs. non-touchscreen MacBook Pro differences

Apple has unveiled its first-ever touchscreen MacBook Pro. The company seems a bit confused about the naming, calling it the "MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display," which is tough to remember. If you look past that and review the full spec sheets, you might ask a genuine question: what are the differences between the touchscreen and non-touchscreen versions?

Given that Apple continues to sell both variants together, that's a genuine question. Luckily, you don't have to spend more time lining up the spec sheets side by side and hunting for differences hidden in the fine print. I took that bullet for you. Here's everything that's different between the PROLED XDR Display and the regular MacBook Pro.

Apple has just released its touchscreen MacBook Pro, and there's plenty to get excited about. It's the first MacBook with an OLED display, powered by the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, and even gets the Dynamic Island from the iPhone. We've heard plenty about these upgrades through leaks and rumors over the past few months, but one thing I wasn't prepared for was the return of the glowing Apple logo.
