Dell Shows Off Alienware M11x Mini Gaming PC

dell-m11xDell released its mini-gamer, the Alienware M11x, which features an 11.1″ 720p display complete with both NVIDIA GT335M and integrated graphics. According to Dell, the M11x “demonstrates the graphics power of a 15-inch laptop in an 11-inch form factor.” And we believe it, considering the netbook-sized ultraportable managed 6,000 to 7,000 scores in 3DMark, which adds up to 50fps performance in Crysis and 30fps in Call of Duty at the highest settings.

Dell representatives say the M11x should achieve over six hours of battery life in its lower-graphics function mode and attain around two hours of intense gaming time in its other mode. The M11x also comes with DisplayPort, HDMI, and VGA ports so you can take your gaming to the big screen and connect to larger monitors and HDTVs.

Gaming PCs tend to provide better graphical performance, too, along with the fact that you’ve got an entire computer that can be used for everything from web browsing and watching movies to photo editing and video calls (as long as there’s a built-in webcam).

The Alienware Aurora R16, which received a rating of four out of five stars in our review, sits on top of our list of the best gaming PCs. In addition to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card, this configuration of the Alienware Aurora R16 features the 14th-generation Intel Core i9 processor and 64GB of RAM, which our guide on how to buy a gaming desktop says would be useful for those who will use their machine for other purposes beyond gaming, such as editing videos.
