Have you been shopping around for a powerful new laptop? There are numerous Windows and macOS machines on the market, but sometimes you need a computer that’s going to go the extra mile. That’s why we’re glad we found this awesome Dell promotion:

For a limited time, when you order the Dell XPS 14 Laptop through the manufacturer, you’ll score the laptop for $1,510. At full price, this model usually sells for $2,060. The XPS 14 is a popular Windows machine with plenty to write home about!

Why you should buy the Dell XPS 14

Under the hood, the XPS 14 is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 CPU that delivers max clock speeds of 4.8GHz. Graphics are handled by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050. This configuration has 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, too, making it ideal for everything from casual web browsing to more intense workflows with multiple open programs. Thanks to the RTX 4050, solid PC gaming is also possible with this PC, along with HD playback of your favorite movies and shows.

The 14.5-inch FHD+ display delivers a 1920 x 1200 pixel spread and up to 500 nits at peak brightness, which is plenty bright for most indoor and outdoor spaces. And if you want an extra boost in the picture quality department, you can spend $300 to upgrade to the OLED version (with 3200 x 2000 resolution) of the XPS 14. Weighing only 3.7 pounds, 12.6 inches wide, and 8.5 inches from front to back, the XPS 14 is lightweight and portable, too.

As far as ports go, the laptop has three Thunderbolt 4 ports, a headphone jack, and a built-in microSD card reader. Other great features include a 30-day free trial of Microsoft Office 365 and up to 21 hours of battery life on a full charge (for the non-OLED model).

This is an unbelievable markdown that may not be around for much longer. That being said, now could be the best time to buy. Save $550 when you order the Dell XPS 14 through the manufacturer, and be sure to check out some of the other Dell XPS deals we’ve been keeping tabs on. We gave this Asus OLED laptop a four star review — it’s half off today

If you’re looking for a device we once described as a “powerful OLED laptop, done right,” you’re in luck. Among the many laptop deals happening at the moment, Amazon has reduced the price of the Asus VivoBook Pro 16X OLED laptop to $800 from $1,450. Yup, that’s very nearly 50% off with a huge $650 taken off the price. The laptop might be over two years old now, but it remains a great option, especially at this price. If you want to know more, we’re here to tell you all about it.

Why you should buy the Asus VivoBook Pro 16X OLED laptop
We reviewed the Asus VivoBook Pro 16X OLED laptop back in 2022, and the only real criticism we could come up with was its “boring design” and a “gimmicky” DialPad. Other than that, we loved that it “lasted over 16 hours on a single charge in our light web-browsing test” -- something which is impressive given its 16-inch OLED screen. As we’ve seen while analyzing OLED technology, the self-lit pixels that make the screen look so good use up a lot of power, which can be a problem for laptops. Not this one though. A sharper and better looking screen is great for watching movies on the move, but it’s also an all-round more pleasant experience while you work.

The Dell XPS 14 just dropped from $1,500 to $1,000
The Dell XPS 14 open on a wooden table.

Dell is the brand I tend to recommend to friends and family when they need a dependable laptop. Fortunately, the company often has some great laptop deals, and that’s the case today with $500 off the Dell XPS 14. Usually $1,500, it’s down to $1,000, so you’re saving a considerable chunk of change here. It’s the latest model with the style that we describe as a “momentous design,” so you’ll be delighted with how it looks. Here’s everything else you need to know about it.

Why you should buy the Dell XPS 14
We reviewed a similar model of the Dell XPS 14 earlier this year and we were fairly impressed, giving it 3.5 stars out of 5. Crucially, the particular model we looked at felt expensive for what it offered -- something you won’t have to worry about here. The only pivotal issues that align here are that the touch buttons lack haptic feedback, there are limited ports, and the RAM isn’t upgradeable. Buy a USB mouse and don’t plan on upgrading and you’re all good.

HP Victus 16 gaming laptop on white background.

For one of the best gaming laptop deals of the week, head over to Best Buy. Today, you can buy an HP Victus 16 gaming laptop for $900 instead of $1,400. Being able to buy a laptop with such a huge screen for this price is pretty great. In the past, we’ve described the Victus range as a “new gaming brand [making] its mark” and this is a good example of what HP has accomplished in recent years. If you’re looking for a new gaming laptop, we think you’ll like this one. Read on while we take you through what it has to offer.

Why you should buy the HP Victus 16 gaming laptop
We reviewed a slightly different HP Victus 16 in 2022, but since then HP has gone from strength to strength. Crucially, the two models share a similar design. This HP Victus 16 also has a backlit keyboard with white lighting and it feels “great ... with deep travel and very snappy switches that provide excellent responsiveness for both gamers and productivity users.” It also has a larger touchpad, and the minimalist design looks eye catching with its V logo on the back.
