Think you can code? Then Google Code Jam 2008 competition might be ideal for you. The company has just opened registration for the event, which will close July 17. After that the challenge will begin, with developers working against the clock to solve algorithmic coding problems.
The top 500 from the first round, which runs from July 25 to August 2, will be flown to Google’s regional offices for round two between August 22 and September 6.
From there 100 finalists will make the trip to Google HQ in California and face off in the finals on November 14. One person will walk away with the grand prize of $10,000, while 25 others will take home runners-up awards of $250.
