Lenovo Spins Out the X60 Tablet PC

Lenovo has introduced its new X60 Tablet PC, offering a low-voltage Core Duo processor (which contributes to the system’s ability to squeak out up to nine hour of battery life), Wi-Fi and MIMO wireless networking, and a new ActiveRotate feature which automatically orients the X60’s display to the user no matter how the tablet is being held. Lenovo has also added two new screen options to the X60 Tablet: a 12-inch MultiView/MultiTouch indoor/outdoor antiglare display and a 12.1-inch SXGA+ screen offering 1,400 by 1,050 resolution.

"The Lenovo ThinkPad X60 Tablet PC marries the best aspects of notebooks and pen-based devices," said Peter Hortensius, senior VP of Lenovo’s Notebook Business Unit. "With new screen options, hardware capabilities and an improved sensory experience interacting with the tablet, the new Lenovo ThinkPad X60 Tablet is packed with the innovation our customers want."

The X60 also offers more memory and storage capacity than its predecessors (supporting up to 4 GB RAM and a 120 GB hard drive), plus Bluetooth and 802.11a/b/g/pre-n Wi-Fi wireless networking along with embedded WWAN broadband wireless options. Lenovo has also revved its input pen with an enhanced feel and an eraser on top – and the tablet still measures just 1.1 inches thick and weighs just 3.8 pounds.

The Lenovo X60 tablet will be available in early December at prices starting at $1,799 (pre-orders on some models are available now). The X60 is not the cheapest Core Duo offering on the planet, but a product that’s sure to appeal to tablet PC users.

HUAWEI’s latest tablet, MatePad 12 X marries elegant design and elevated productivity
Huawei MatePad 12 X tablet on use while on the go.

The tablet market is so diverse and varied, and while there are many options to choose from, finding something specific can be quite challenging.  That's because a lot of those products focus on doing everything, and not one thing particularly well. The few products that do focus on a particular activity, like drawing or sketching, aren't always the best at doing other things -- like media playback. HUAWEI understands this and has set out to create a remarkably versatile tablet for all your mobile work and creation needs in the MatePad 12 X. In other words, it focuses on productivity and brings a ton of features to the table that make excellent productivity a reality.

For example, the ultra-bright paper-like screen has a Nanoscale anti-glare etching, which makes it ideal for use anywhere, even outside. Moreover, when you're writing on the tablet it's like writing on paper. Married with HUAWEI's GoPaint app, you can effortlessly compose and create art anywhere, unleashing your full creative potential. But let's say you're not into sketching or painting and you just want to get some work done out of the local coffee shop. You can do that, too. It's an excellent option for students, professionals, freelancers, and beyond. But don't just take our word for it. Let's take a closer look and see what sets the HUAWEI MatePad 12 X apart from the rest.

Here’s what it has to offer, but bear in mind the deal is likely to end soon, and you won’t want to miss out.

Why you should buy the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 9
Back when we reviewed the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i, we were impressed by its superior productivity and creative performance, excellent gaming performance, and display. The only downsides were that it’s kind of thick and heavy and its battery life could be better. That trend remains the case with many Lenovo gaming laptops but it isn’t the end of the world. I have a Lenovo Legion laptop myself. It works well as a desktop replacement but is also easy enough to take around with me too. Crucially, there are key reasons why Lenovo is one of the best gaming laptop brands, which is why I bought one and why we’re featuring this model.

Whatever the original price though, we do know that $1,450 is a sweet deal for this laptop. If you’re looking for something business focused, read on while we take you through what it has to offer.
