Rumor has it that the next Surface systems is coming soon, perhaps at Microsoft’s late April BUILD conference. Now it seems the company may be looking to clear out inventory in preparation of that announcement.

Every version of the Surface Pro 3 except the entry level Core i3 model has been slashed by $100, starting with the Core i5, 128GB version, which is now just $899.

The quicker and more expensive models have received an even more aggressive $150 discount, however. That includes the Core i5 and i7 models with 256GB solid state drive, and the Core i7 model with 512GB SSD.

Microsoft has not said how long the sale will last. It could end today, or it could continue until the next Surface models are announced. Budget-minded buyers might try to wait out for an even better deal, but don’t hold your breath; these cuts are already deep, particularly on the Core i5 model.

Meta Connect 2024 is tomorrow, which means the much-leaked Meta Quest 3S is about to be revealed (we hope). Despite the event being only hours away, however, there are still more leaks to be had.

The latest information, spotted by TechRadar, suggests that with the launch of the 3S, Meta will discount both Meta Quest 3 models and stop production of the 128GB model sometime in November.

The Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch promises to give you the rough-and-tumble style of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 or Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra without the high price. It’s chunky and tough, but does it have the software and ability to help win you over? Or is there a reason it’s a lot cheaper than its well-known competitors?

I spent some time wearing the T-Rex 3 to find out. Here's what you need to know.

Microsoft is already reinventing Copilot
The keyboard and trackpad on the new Surface Laptop.

Microsoft has posted a new event on LinkedIn for September 16 titled "Microsoft 365 Copilot: Wave 2," and it will be hosted by CEO Satya Nadella and vice president of AI at Work Jared Spataro. According to the short description of the event, it will cover the "next phase of Copilot innovation," and The Verge's Tom Warren expects it to focus on business offerings rather than consumer products.

As its title hints, the event will also introduce a rebranding of Copilot to "Microsoft 365 Copilot" -- a fairly minor change, but one that likely aims to merge the two products and encourage businesses to see Copilot as an integral part of any Microsoft 365 subscription.
